Does anyone where to find the BAO ACS field definitions? I am doing an analysis on education and using the ESRI Business Analyst Online data which is derived from the 2009-2013 Population Age 25 or Older Educational Attainment data set. The data that I am reviewing has stats for the following: 2009-2013 ACS Population Age 25 or Older by Educational Attainment: High School Diploma 2009-2013 ACS Population Age 25 or Older by Educational Attainment Base 2009-2013 ACS Population Age 25 or Older by Educational Attainment: High School Diploma (%) Does anyone know how the Base number is determined? The analysis shows a lower High School Diploma % in the higher Median Household Income areas of the Denver Metro Area, exactly the opposite of what I would expect. I've done some research on this link, but cannot find a definition for the 3 attributes above. http://www.census.gov/hhes/socdemo/education/about/index.html Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Anyone have the secret for adding a thumbnail to an AGOL Web App or Web Map? I've tried png, jpg, and gif formats in the recommended 200 x 133 pixel size to no avail. I end up with this icon.

I think I've worked out a workflow that works. Thanks for your notes. They helped. 1. Display the Map in the Full Extent in ArcMap. 2. File > Share As > Tile Package > Upload package to my AGOL account. On the Sharing Tab, Share Package with Everyone. 3. Upon completion, go to AGOL. Don't move the package from its landing location. 4. Publish the Tile Package. 5. Monitor the progress through the Manage Tile link on the Tile Layer. 6. Move the Tile Package and the Tile Layer to it's destination folder if you would like. (I've read that you can delete the Tile Package after the Tile Layer is built to save on credits. 7. SHARE the Tile Layer. When I didn't share, only limited tiles would show up on the Map. I think this is a bug. Good luck. Hope this helps anyone struggling with publishing tiles.

Is there a specific SLA for publishing tiles on the AGOL servers? I uploaded multiple tile packages last night. They completed publishing is ranges from .61% to 88.99% but have not changed for the last 16 hours. RQ

I've worked through this issue. For anyone reading this in the future, the issue seems to have been related to the fact that I was using a map with dissolved boundaries. For example, 150,000 Single Family home parcels were reduced to a single shape object. When I scrolled in, it reduced the visible portion as in the screen shots above. This was resolved by creating tiles based on the original data at multiple scales. Best Regards. RQ

Did you ever resolve this issue? I am unable to publish a tile package successfully. I created the package on desktop and uploaded it to AGOL. I see the Tile Package, and clicking Publish, it creates a Tile Layer. But the tiles don't behave as I would expect. As I zoom in, it decreases the number of tiles being displayed, long before I am zoomed in to be able to read the tiles. In addition, the properties of the Tile Layer consistently show 0% of the tiles are available.

I've created a layer in ArcMap and set my Cache from County (10) to Building (19) in the Service Editor. I publish the Layer to AGOL and add it to a map. Only some of the tiles are being displayed when I zoom in rather than the full extent of the original Layer. As I zoom out, I see additional areas. Is there a configuration setting that must be set to see the entire extent at all levels? This is my map in ArcMap - City and County of Denver Here are my Caching Parms. I also set it at full extent. Here are my results. I expect all of the tiles to fill the screen regardless of the scale that I am viewing. As always, thanks to all for your responses. My learning is accelerated through your generous contributions of time and knowledge! RQ

I have a Home Use license and would like to publish my story map. I share it as Public on my site, but when someone goes to the URL, http://arcg.is/1HvnDCq, it requests a login. How can I share it so that it does not require a log in?

How would you combine a Feature Class of Polylines into a single Single Polyline Objects to reduce the number of Objects from many to one? The goal is to reduce the number credits for storage, and potentially increase the speed for rendering. I've tried Dissolve and Merge but the number of Object remains the same as the original. Thanks.
