Core files are created by the Linux OS when a program ends unexpectedly. They contain a snapshot of the process memory at time of termination, and the .#### portion of the filename indicates the process id. They are safe to delete but it would be better to analyze them and determine what is failing and why. Here is an article with some good info but the details may differ depending on your version of Linux. https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Core_dump

That is... unusual. The .ESRI.properties file is supposed to be in the user's $HOME, for detecting existing installs by that user on that machine. That way if the software is installed outside of the default home directory, we know where to find it by referencing the entry in the .ESRI.properties file. I can't think of any reason it would/should be inside the install directory, because we'd have no way to find it.

Where was your .ESRI.properties file, if not in the user's $HOME directory? Had it been moved or were you installing Insights as a different user than was used for the base install?

"Setup -m console" is the interactive command line mode. The other options are for the "-m silent" mode, which does not prompt the user for any further inputs.

No, the Linux ArcGIS Web Adaptor Java installer does not launch the configuration in the browser. There is a manual step to deploy the arcgis.war into your Java application server (Step 6 or 7 in the installation guide) before you can do the configuration. ArcGIS Server is not supported on that distribution of Linux. ArcGIS Server 10.7 system requirements—ArcGIS Enterprise system requirements | ArcGIS Enterprise As to why it might have worked at 10.6 but doesn't at 10.7, we did change the version of the Java instance used in the installer. It is either incompatible with, or missing some dependencies from, your Linux OS.

Oops! Yeah, that is a requirement of the third-party software we use to build the installers. We have it documented in the install guides for other Enterprise products, but it was overlooked for Web Adaptor. We'll get that updated. It is unfortunate that Java does not give a more useful error but I'm glad you got it working!

The installer uses its own bundled JRE. It shouldn't matter what the system Java version is.

I don't know if those missing libraries are related to fonts directly but they are definitely related to the graphical rendering pipeline on Linux.

The -h option is only to display the help for the authorizeSoftware script. That information is already in the install guide you linked to. It should not be used in the command to authorize.
