Hi all, I'm using ArcGIS Pro 3.0.2 to symbolize some climatology data which contains a magnitude and direction attribute. I am using the vector field to generate the symbology and am trying to understand how it is generated as I experience different results at different scales. Questions: 1. How can I enforce placement of the direction arrow at the centroid of my raster? When I zoom in and out, the arrow placement appears to change to different locations around the raster cell. 2. Why do the arrows sometimes appear, but other times not? 3. Does the projection influence the symbology? In the attached images, the vector points represent the centroid of my underlying raster. The 'Symbology 1.png' image is a smaller scale than 'Symbology 2.png' image. If you alternate between both images, notice the difference in placement of the vector field arrows. Why does this occur?

Is it possible to apply a mandatory acknowledgement of a web service's 'terms and conditions' (e.g. a caveat)? I understand it is possible to create a GUI in a web-app which the user must acknowledge before proceeding. Can something similar be applied at the web-service level? I want my users to understand a mandatory note must be applied to any products utilising the available web-service. I can write this into the terms and conditions on the Item Description page; however I need it in the user's face as many users will not read the terms and conditions in great detail.

Hi @BugPie I believe I queried the NoData pixels in ArcGIS Pro to identify what values they were. In my case they were 255 for all bands. Then in ArcCatalog I went to the properties of the image and edited the NoData pixels such that 255 was the value for all bands. I was then able to publish as an Image Service without issue. I did not click the compute button, but I have noticed when I do this I curiously receive 256 for all 4 bands.

I ended up right clicking on the raster in Catalog and going in to the properties to change the NoData values. Then republished and voila!

Hi all, I have published an orthomosaic as an Imagery Layer / Image Service. The NoData pixels (R 255, G 255, B 255) are displaying as white and surround the image in a rectangular fashion. Is it possible to make the NoData pixels transparent once the service has been published? Or can this configuration only be done inside of ArcGIS Pro prior to publishing? If it can only be done prior to publishing, what is the recommended workflow? Ideally, I do not wish to export a new raster if it can be helped.

Great work Jamal! Can't believe it took me 10 minutes to figure how to copy and paste between feature layers. It think it would be more intuitive if the 'Paste Special' was more conspicuous, or perhaps even renamed to 'Paste to another layer' or something along those lines.

I love this feature within ArcGIS Pro, however when I publish a feature service from my ArcGIS Pro project, the attribute driven symbology is not preserved on the feature service. It is when publishing a map service, however.

Found another post which is useful and related to this task: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-blog/setting-up-the-attribute-driven-color-in-symbology/ba-p/896771 I note there is a BUG logged in support of this capability: https://support.esri.com/en/bugs/nimbus/QlVHLTAwMDEwNDMxNg== At this time there is no solution or work around to this issue.

Thanks @ABishop. Is there a way to automatically apply the hex code colors based on an attribute within ArcGIS Pro? I have several hundred features, so not really in the business of manually configuring them. The process I have tried in my original post works, but is not preserved when service is published. E.g. is there a preconfigured hexadecimal style file?

Hi all, I wish to insert an 'IHO / INT1' standard compass rose into an ArcGIS Pro layout. I have the 'Maritime' licensing extension turned on. When I go to insert > north arrow and do a search for "rose" or "compass", I do not see any IHO or INT1 looking compass rose options. What is the best way to configure an official hydrographic chart compass rose in ArcGIS Pro?

Hi all, I have an ArcGIS Pro project with some features symbolised based on a hex color code attribute value. I did this by varying the symbology by attribute, then allowing symbol property connections as per this instruction: https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000024233 What I wish to do now is publish my Map as a Feature Service and preserve the hex code colors symbology. When I publish the service however, the hex code colors are lost in the symbology. What is the best way to publish my service whilst preserving the hex color symbology? Thanks.

Hi all, My scenario is I need to create a geodesic line feature from a table of coordinates which I have converted to a point feature class. The feature is described as having geodesic lines connecting each point. So if I run the basic 'points to lines' geoprocessing tool, this will not create the geodesic line feature I require. I am familiar with creating geodesic lines through the Advanced Editing tools. I am also familiar with the 'XY to Line' geoprocessing tool which can create a geodesic line from my point feature class. What I require to create the geodesic line using 'XY to Line' tool are the following populated fields: StartX, StartY EndX, EndY It is easy to calculate the StartX and StartY values by simply calculating the geometry in the field calculator; but how can I use the field calculator to insert the StartX+1 and StartY+1 values in the EndX and EndY fields, where "+1" represents the next row in the point feature class table?

I too have this question. I symbolized some features I had using using a hex color attribute in my table and connecting it to the features. However these changes aren't applied to the layer in the Contents pane in ArcGIS Pro, and it doesn't look like I'm able to export this symbology as a layer file or publish the layer from ArcGIS Pro using a service definition file. Is it possible to incorporate this symbology into an AGOL or Enterprise Portal web map?
