I have a model that works fine in arcmap for converting to KML, but when i publish it as a geoprocessing service, only the first attempt from a web application works. All following attempts return KML files with commas instead of points in their geometries: First run : -72.5123508930792,46.02718407088821,0 -72.89026165964782,45.9512204096942,0 -73.00197113196214,45.60643088717575,0 Second run : -72,5123508930792,46,02718407088821,0 -72,89026165964782,45,9512204096942,0 -73,00197113196214,45,60643088717575,0 I believe that possibly changing the locale setting (decimal delimiter) of the arcGIS server machine might fix this issue, but changing it permanently is simply not an option. I need to find an alternative. I have tried exporting the model to python and editing the script to change the locale with python (and then return it to its original locale): locale.setlocale(locale.LC_ALL,"english") arcpy.LayerToKML_conversion(sourceLayer, kmzFileName, "1", "false", "DEFAULT", "1024", "96", "CLAMPED_TO_GROUND") locale.setlocale(locale.LC_ALL,"") as outlined here: Layer to KML faulty output But this doesnt seem to work when it is published to arcGIS server. Does anyone know of a way to manually override the way arcGIS server uses the system locale/decimal delimiter? Any help is appreciated! Regards, Joe

Hi Francis, I am having the same problem. My script works fine in arcmap, but when i publish it to server only the first run works. After that, the coordinates are generated with commas. Permanently changing the local setting is not an option. Were you able to solve the problem? Thanks, Joe

Thanks Robert, In addition to your changes I also had to remove all the .jimu-widget-search classes from 'themes\LaunchpadTheme\styles\default\css\launchpad.css' - which were messing with the esri.css styles

Hi Robert, I am also trying to make the WAB search widget collapsable, but changing enablebuttonmode: true and expanded: false in the new Search constructor of the Widget.js file doesnt seem to work. Are you aware of any kind of work-around? Joe

Thanks for this Frank! I was having trouble changing the legend label (override 1) generated by the print task for a jimu/DrawBox graphic which is being used to show the 'area of interest' in the map. If anyone else has trouble modifying the legend for DrawBox layers, here is the code I used in the "draw-end" event of the drawBox: var simpleJson = {
"type":"simple",
"label": "Area de Interés",
"symbol":{
"color": [
0,
112,
255,
64
],
"outline": {
"color": [
0,
0,
0,
255
],
"width": 1,
"type": "esriSLS",
"style": "esriSLSSolid"
},
"type": "esriSFS",
"style": "esriSFSSolid"
}
};
var drawboxRenderer = new SimpleRenderer(simpleJson);
this.drawBox.drawLayer.graphics[0].symbol = null;
this.drawBox.drawLayer.graphics[0]._graphicsLayer.setRenderer(drawboxRenderer);
this.drawBox.drawLayer.graphics[0]._layer.setRenderer(drawboxRenderer); Hopefully this might be helpful for somebody, Cheers, Joe

I have a similar issue. Has anyone managed to create a renderer based on whether a feature has related records or not, or based on how many it has? Thanks, Joe

It seems that I am unable to quickly scroll through the widgets of my application in the "docker" section using the "nextBtn" and "previousBtn" elements of the Launchpad theme in WAB 2.1. If you scroll slowly, allowing time for the animation to finish, it works fine, but if you wish to scroll rapidly, it sort of cancels the animation and slows down the whole process. I understand that this is a fairly trivial issue, but nonetheless it is quite uncomfortable if you have a lot of widgets, and need to quickly access a widget towards the far right of the docker. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Hi guys, Has anyone tried saving a layer which is generated by the user through a filter? (the filter sets the layerDefinitions for an ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer). I've noticed that there is a function getOptionsForDynamicLayer(), but layerDefinitions is not an options property. And for feature layers there also seems to be no way of saving and loading the definitionExpression. Does anyone have any experience with this? Joe

Hi Larry, I'm trying to run your function from the onOpen section of my widget but I cant seem to get it to work. Am i supposed to change 'widgetCfg'? Also is it necessary to change the panelMixinData value? Thanks, Joe

Hi Daniel, I can't seem to find an in-panel widget that allows you to generate a heat map from any given featurelayer so I will now begin to develop one using the heatmap renderer (HeatmapRenderer | API Reference | ArcGIS API for JavaScript 3.20) Will let you know how it goes

I have seen that it is possible to add and configure text annotations on a map using the AdvDraw widget, but I was wondering if it is possible to edit existing labels associated to a feature layer. Are there any widgets or API examples that come close to this? Any help is appreciated, Joe
