Hi David, I was wondering if you ever found a resolution to this issue. We are currently in the process of working with IT to setup a reverse proxy server with aliased server machine names. I have Trimble Geo 7x units that I am running the most current version of ArcGIS Mobile on them. The Mobile Project operational layers are from mobile services accessing data housed in an enterprise database behind our firewalls. The GPS units are not on the domain so they cannot sync back data directly, hence the reverse proxy. I have been able to get the reverse proxy to work with collector but when trying to sync in Mobile Project with the same services I get the error below. Synchronizing Error Message (with upload or download): Name resolution failure. The name resolver service could not resolve the host name. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks, Josh J.

I have found the solution to this issue. This is actually a windows display setting. The Panasonic ToughPad FZ-G1 device has its setting at 125% if you change it to 100% this will resolve the issue. There was a post about this a few months ago when I had the same issue. If you go to control panel>display and change the setting to 100% it will resolve the issue. I discovered this solution under this thread on GeoNet https://community.esri.com/message/420117#420117

I am having an issue with my basemap not aligning with my operational layers on specific tablets devices. I have raster basemap layer generated through tile package that does draw, zoom, or align with my operational layers properly inside of the ArcGIS for Windows mobile application running on Panasonic ToughPad (Windows 7). The same ArcGIS Windows Mobile project displays and performs correctly in the Mobile Project center on my desktop computer and on our Trimble Geo 7X GPS devices. I am thinking this may be a screen resolution issue or image driver on my tablets but have not been able to figure it out. The "recommended" screen resolution setting on the ToughPad is 1920x1200. Any advice to correct this issue would be greatly appreciated. Basemap tile package (NAD83 UTM Zone 15N) Operational Layers - Published Feature/Mobile Service (NAD 83 UTM Zone 15N)

I have a feature class with subtypes and other domain driven attribute fields published to a feature service. The feature class has a feature template with the features symbolized via the subtype values in alphabetical order and the same for the coded domains. everything displays and works properly in ArcMap (10.2.2) and the MXD utilized to publish the service. Once accessed in AGOL in the map or a custom web app, the legend symbols and the domains remain properly alphabetically sorted but the subtype drop-down list when editing is in a random sort order. The order never changes it is just not in the proper alphabetical order.

I have been performing some testing recently of GPS equipment running ArcGIS for Windows Mobile with and without the Trimble Postions Extension. I have run into an issue when working with the application in a specific setup. The primary GPS unit used in testing was a Trimble Geo 7x with ArcGIS for Windows Mobile 10.2 and Trimble Postions Extension version 10.2.0.2. I have a ArcGIS for Windows Mobile project consuming operational layers that are mobile feature services published from our server and exchange data via the Sync functionality within the ArcGIS for Windows Mobile application. The issue I am experiencing is once I have collected/edit features within this project and select "Manage Edits" from the Task menu the application just sits and spins (i.e. Will not complete Manage Edits Task) and I have to reset my Trimble unit and reopen the project. I have successfully performed the Manage Edits operation on the unit using a project that is a full local cache as well as opening the one with mobile feature services on a full windows device and the Windows version of ArcGIS for WM. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Does a resolution exist or am I stuck not being able to perform Manage Edits on my devices? Appreciate any help. Sincerely, Joshua Jacomb D&D GIS Technician Missouri Department of Conservation

Does anyone know if Trimble Positions can be run in conjunction with ArcGIS for Windows Mobile running on a full Windows 7 Tablet (Panasonic)? Based on Trimble's literature the Positions extension does not operate on the full Windows OS, but I was curious if anyone had tried this approach anyways. It would be nice if they would release a version that was identified as compatible considering that ArcGIS for Windows Mobile can be run on a full Windows OS. Thanks in advance for any responses.
