Tony Thanks for the quick response. Doing it know and hopefully back in action. I have been pleasantly (and that's an under statement) surprised by V2.0. The increase in functionality from 1.3 is staggering and creates a much better workflow. Dealing with GCP's and aligning with images took far too long. On the basis that this fix is going to work I will be very pleased and you have done a great job with this release. I estimate that drone related work for clients is now 40% of my business. I undertake real estate work, planning (or zoning), project management and GIS projects. With some of my Drone/GIS work I was considered for presenting at the 2019 UK User Conference. The integration of D2M with other ESRI products works well. Thanks Jeremy (Everything is Somewhere Ltd)

Tony Thanks for the update. I don't have D2M open. Do I add accuracy columns in the GCP file or is this a setting I updat once the GCP's have been imported? Thanks Jeremy

I am based in the UK and have experienced processing errors with V2.0.1 when using GCP's. The final outputs have unusual GCP RMSE errors. I checked this by reprocessing projects previously done with 1.3 where I had RMSE errors of 10mm. When processed using 2.0.1 the errors are 250mm. To get back on track I have tried to reinstall 1.3 and that has really hit the buffers. Rolling back seems to be a technical challenge and this currently sits with ESRI UK Support.

On the filter an often used method is the circle tool. It would be useful if the radius of the circle could be defined (simply entry box, eg 20 miles) of the distance displayed as the circle is drawn.

I am new to Drone2Map and have it on trial. I currently use Drone Deploy for all my processing. However I use other ESRI products so makes sense to see if Drone2Map could replace DD. I have had some early problems not least with not being to open the software. I have processed a number of jobs and generally they are all OK although I do note that the resulting folder with the data/outputs etc are v large.. The problem I am having is processing GCP's. I have double checked co-ordinate systems tied the CGP's and all looks good. It goes through the full processing but it doesn't produce the outputs. The same data processed without GCP's is fine. It has to be something to do with the GCP process but I am at a loss to work out what may be going wrong. The same data and GCP's process via Drone Deploy with good outputs and results. Any pointers on what may be going wrong?

Yes - you have described it exactly!! Let's hope that ESRI will address this. I use ESRI products for property management and in the the field ArcGIS Online/Collector etc are all great but would be even better if the real detail could be viewed.

On a related matter when I have loaded CAD files into ArcGIS Online of detailed map data (in the UK a good example would be Ordnance Survey Master Map) I have had problems viewing that data at scales lower than about 1:1500. I sometimes want to get to 1:500, maybe less. Are there tricks in getting a feature service to function consistently at these scales?

Tim Thanks for that, I haven't uploaded 10.2 yet. So far I have been using the 30 day trial of ArcGIS Online. When you say you can "upload hosted feature services" would this include the layer files I have created? Regards Jeremy

Hi I need advice!! I use ArcGIS Desktop, for one client I have car sales every month. They send me an excel spreadsheet, I import it into ArcGIS into a shapefile and I have about 80 "layers" each with there own specific definition query and symbology. Works well as all set up and within minutes of completing the import I can analyse the data as necessary. Either I am at their office or they like pdf's. I would like to give them "on line access" and therefore keen to move to ArcGIS Online. Publishing the shapefile straight forward (even better if you didn't have to zip it) but there doesn't seem any easy way to re-create the layers I have set up in Desktop. I have looked at Map Packages and unless I am missing something doesn't seem to be straight forward either. Seems you can query in Map Explorer but again that is not as convenient for the client. I have logged call with ESRI Help (UK) and to my surprise they didn't have an instant answer, "Looking into it". I had the impression that ArcGIS Online was ideal for SME's who don't have the ArcServer resource, I am either misguided, misinformed or maybe just not doing something right. Any help appreciated. Jeremy

I am working on a project to secure new planning permissions (permits) for a race track. One of the key issues is noise management. Working in data view I would like to be able to view a number of layers simultaneously to aid the management of the circuit. The common data to all layers is a date field. I have five layers; 1. Event - Point Data - identifies the type of use on a particular day. 2. Weather - Point Data - wind direction and speed 3. Noise - Point Data - actual noise readings from around the circuit 4. Complaints - Point Data - locations from where we have received complaints 5. Track - Polygon Data - shows which circuit was in use I therefore need to run definition queries on all 5 layers, preferable by using a drop down list on a toolbar. I have been trying to do this in Python but being new to it so far haven't been able to crack it. Any help greatly appreciated. Jeremy
