I have just installed ArcGIS Portal 10.9.1 and I am surprised to find that this issue is in there. New dashboards are looking great but this bug is undermining the value. Can you please provide an update to this issue and how this might be remedied for a local Enterprise instance. many thanks Jon

Daniel Is there any update on when we can expect to see this enhancement, as I tried to Update the Definition with new JSON but got an error 500 message. My only solution in my 10.6.1 environment was to download the hosted feature layer, update the schema using ArcGIS Desktop, then overwrite the original hosted feature layer on portal. I then had to recreate multiple hosted views of this feature layer and then add these to numerous maps so that the new schema was picked up, as existing layer references did not change on the initial overwrite. To make this change took the best part of a day, so would very much like to see a method to update existing schemas. Regards Jon

We have just launched a story map for the Waterford Greenway see http://www.visitwaterford.com/things-to-do/stories/WaterfordGreenway.php We did want to have an image display on the first tab (Welcome) but found that if you use an image on the first tab and have the Synchronize map locations set the map centres on the screen and allows the legend to overlap, even if you have it set not to allow this. While you can fudge this for the desktop by offsetting the location in the web map, the map then appears off centre when viewed on mobile devices. Note: As soon as you replace the image with a map on the first tab everything works OK. I hope that makes sense. Let me know if it doesn’t and ill attempt to clarify. Jon FYI mikiekelly33

Managed to fix the problem. Found that the underlying web address of the list in SharePoint can not have any gaps. So it was nothing to do with the site, it just happened that lists in this site had spaces in their names. When the list was renamed in Windows Explorer to remove the spaces the links then displayed correctly.

Hi A list that displays in the ESRI WebPart is not discoverable in the ArcGIS WebPart even though the ESRI Maps Location field has been added. When I browse to add the list, from the site, a message appears saying no graphical lists available. Please Note: The ESRI Maps Location Field works as expected when editing items in the list. ie. points can be moved and updated The list is quite complex and has a number of options and workflows attached. I created test list in the same site with X,Y and ESRI Maps Location fields and this could be be discovered and added. Has anyone had this issue or does anyone know of anything's that can stop a list from being displayed. eg. Length of field name, options, workflows etc....

Hi I have added a list to my ESRI Map webpart [3.1] pop up, but the SharePoint Item does not appear as a hyperlink. But this only occurs in ESRI Map webparts added to pages in this particular site. Ie. links appear correctly in ESRI Map webparts added to pages on another site. Also please note links appear correctly in ArcGIS WebPart added to this and other sites. Has anyone come across this issue or have any suggestions.

Dear All We have implemented Esri Maps for SharePoint 3.0.1 on SharePoint 2013 We can author and create maps using the ESRI Maps WebPart. However when another user, who has full permissions to the page, tries to view the page the ESRI Maps WebPart prompts for a AGOL Username and Password. See below When AGOL account details are entered the Map appears. See below I understand that the user should not be prompted and as we have 300+ users I of course want maps to appear without users being challenged for credentials. Also I am aware that some issues around this are to be resolved in version 4, but of course need to get up an running now. Things to note: We are using Active Directory Accounts The AD account that added the webpart originally and configured the page can then view the WebPart without issue ie. is not challenged for AGOL credentials If a second user who tries to view the page, edits the WebPart and saves AGOL credentials as part of this edit. Both the AD account that created the page and the AD account that edited the page can now view the WebPart without being challenged for credentials. When adding the ESRI Maps WebPart to the page the following sequence is used after editing the webpart Click Apply, Click OK, Click Save

Anthony Thanks for the suggestion and that is a good idea. Can I just check though am I right in thinking that the GeoCode service is not dynamic. ie. As new Planning Applications are added they wont be seen by this service. PS: I have moved the thread to ArcGIS Viewer for Flex (apologies I am a first time poster) Jon

Hi Is there any way to improve the search results of the HeaderControllerWidget so that it only returns records that 100% equal the search value entered, rather than ranking other records that contain the value higher in the results Here is the problem: I have the widget set to search one layer within one map service only. The layer contains 55,000+ Planning Applications. The service is set to search only one varchar field (Application_Number). <searchfields>Application_Number</searchfields> The problem is if I enter the application number 00226 the HeaderControllerWidget selects records that contain 00226 eg. WC002260 , 7500226 and does not display the record that only has this value. If I use the search widget and enter 00226 the correct record is selected. This is no doubt because I can specify the expression syntax to be <expression>Application_Number= '[value]'</expression> Does anyone know if it is possible to define a similar syntax in the HeaderControllerWidget.xml Please Note: The reason I want to get this working with HeaderControllerWidget is because I have an external Planning application system that passes a URL to my FlexViewer to conduct the search ie.... websites/FlexViewer/index.html?search=00226 and at present it gives incorrect results.
