While not as all-encompassing as you're hoping for, here's my default "New Project" folder structure; perhaps it'll be helpful... The Scratch, Output and SourceData folders have contain empty .gdbs. The Documentation folder contains a blank Workflow.docx that I fill out as I move forward with the analysis. I copy the project initiation email, and milestones, and the acceptance email into the Communications folder. Hope this helps. And if you have any input I'd love to hear it!

I realize this is a very old thread, but I can't recommend enough X-ray for ArcCatalog for exactly this.

I've got a user group who really like the export to .csv functionality of the Attribute Table widget in WebApp builder. However, the X and Y coordinates come out in UTM as opposed to the WGS84 (decimal degree) format that the data are in. The users really like decimal degrees - is there anything I can do to modify the export functionality to accommodate them?

ArcMap will always set the dataframe's projection to the first dataset's projection that you add to the TOC. I suspect you had the World Map basemap in your TOC prior to doing anything else, which would explain the world_auxiliary_sphere 1984.

Here's what I see when I follow the workflow below: Here was my workflow: Open ArcMap Add .csv to TOC Right-click on .csv and select "Disply XY Data" Select WGS84 as the Geographic Coordinate system, and ensure X = Longitude field and Y = Latitude field Results = robberies.csv Events appears in TOC, with points plotted in correct locations. Add OriginalOHLights to TOC Results = OHLights points appear in correct location His longitudes are negatives, BTW.

Please keep in mind that zip codes are collections of mail delivery routes and are amorphous - the Post Office can and will change them at will. This article does a good job of explaining: http://web.archive.org/web/20050209030255/http://www.manifold.net/cases/zip_codes/zip_codes.html

Does anyone have experience with geodatabase performance benchmarking? We'd like to gain a better understanding if our architecture and configuration are optimized, but I'm not sure where to start. Any suggestions for third-party resources to do this type work would be greatly appreciated.

My organization has recently implemented an ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System). Historically the production geodatabase was used for a combination of asset management and operations, but since the ADMS implementation the operational aspect has taken front seat. I'm curious if other organizations have had to grapple with this, that is to say, the geodatabase being pulled in different directions, and specifically do other organizations maintain a replica/instance that solely feeds the operational application?
