Hi, how can I get IWorkspace from FeatureClass using Enterprise SDK? Cannot use code below, as FeatureClass is int the root : IWorkspace workspace = myFeatureClass.FeatureDataset.Workspace; Now, if FeatureClass is not inside a DataSet - myFeatureClass.FeatureDataset returns null. Documentation states the same: https://developers.arcgis.com/enterprise-sdk/api-reference/net/IFeatureClass/#ifeatureclassfeaturedataset-property I'm not sure, but as I remember there was no problem with ArcObjects in this case...

Can confirm that we have successfully loaded 800k associations into Enterprise Geodatabase on ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7 and 10.8 using ArcGIS Pro 2.5.1 Noticed one issue: association load operation performs N times faster if there are no relationships between UN FeatureClasses. So we are dropping relationships in AssetPackage that contains data to load. And after data load, re-applying same AP SCHEMA_ONLY with relationships.

P.S. If you have more specific information about the business cases you are trying to solve we can investigate whether we could add the necessary options to our core product. Just started digging deeper into UN tracing. As example such tasks like: - "Connected" task with "Filter by N nearest" or - "Shortest path" between 2 points Response returns random element list. Would be nice feature to have them ordered by nearest distance, or by list along path from 1st flag to 2nd.

My initial question basically related to our migration from GN to UN. We have number of implementations in Desktop or SOE where we are using tracing tasks like: "FIND SECOND junction downstream from gas regulator IF FIRST junction is of type ...", or calculating voltage drops from transformer to line ends as we pass particular element types, etc. As I understand UN does not have possibility to traverse network like ArcObjects have directly from DB. So I have found this JSON response sample expecting to get such information about UN Elements connectivity. Also looked at ArcGIS Pro SDK, but also didn't find how can I solve such tasks as trace returns just list of elements without connectivity info: IReadOnlyList<Result> traceResults = downstreamTracer.Trace(traceArgument); Especially would be nice to find UN analysis solution when implementig ArcGIS Server SOE and GP services.

UN REST API trace documentation [Trace—ArcGIS REST API: Services Directory | ArcGIS for Developers ] has a JSON Response sample that contains URL object: {
...
"url" : "<url>", // url of created connectivity file
...
} I quess this key should return a reference to trace result elements connectivity information. Is it possible to get element connectivity information as a UN trace result: - using REST API ? - using ArcGIS Pro SDK ? - using Enterprise SDK ?

Hi, need you thoughts or sharing best practices regarding UN integration with other Information Systems. As example, let's say there is need to integrate GIS UN data with some Asset Management System. In GN world there are lots of possibilities build integration points using ArcGIS platform: implement SOE in Feature/Map service, publish GP task that can process some data and update GIS DB, finally using ArcObjects / Python make direct DB editing. So this could be like: [ArcGIS Service + SOE] << ==(REST / SOAP) === >> [AssetMngmt System] If I correctly understand, the only option update data in UN - use of FeatureService + UtilityNetworkService REST API. And develop some ProxyGISServer that can accept incoming data from 3rd party systems using REST / SOAP / etc., and pass it to ArcGIS. So previous architecture could be like: [ArcGIS UN Service] << === >> [ProxyGIS Integrator] << === >> [AssetMngmt System] Are there any best practices, reccomendations how to achieve such kind of integration?

To get result as JSON from file upload you should add "f" parameter to your form: <form enctype="multipart/form-data" method="post" id="uploadForm"> <div class="field"> <label class="file-upload"> <span><strong>Add File</strong></span> <input type="file" name="file" id="inFile" /> <input type="hidden" name="description" value="Aprasymas" /> <input type="hidden" name="f" value="pjson" /> </label> </div> </form>

Check if your Dataset is versioned. This can occur if you UnVersion your DataSet prior disabling toplogy. At least in ArcGIS Pro 2.4.2 this workflow runs into your situation: Unregister DataSet as Versioned Run GP Disable Network Topology. GP Tool succeeds, but topology remains Enabled Then do the following: Register DataSet as versioned Run GP Disable Network Topology. GP Tool succeeds, Notwork Topology disabled

Error statistics below. As you can see, most of them are missing rules, or missing correct connectivity elements between features. Initially we need to load all data to generate and analyze all possible errors. And migration from GN to UN feeder by feeder is not acceptable in our case. UN needs to be completely operational just after migration process. But from current situation we observe Enable Topology performance. So we have some concern regarding this. Will performance still be the same event if most of error will be corrected? How it will perform in production systems when UN model will be updated and topology needs to be rebuild? We are in a way of migration utility data from Geometric Network to UN. To have some understanding about data amounts and performance: over 720k linear feature assets over 110k kilometers of utilities AssetPackage takes ~40min to load initial data + 3hrs to ImportAssociations (~500k records) Initial data load and performance is acceptable, overall environment (Portal, Server, DB) performance is good. But we see a performance issue during Enable Topology operation witch takes days, not hours. And performance degrades if subsequently Disable / Enable topology operations are performed, because _DIRTYAREAS, _ERRORS, etc. table data grows dramatically. We understand that initial data has lots of validation errors generated. But we have some concern when thinking about such problem in production environment. For example to add extra asset types, rules, etc. means UN services will be unavailable during period of Enable Topology, while UN changes itself will take some minutes. Is there any recommendations from ESRI regarding Enable Topology performance?
