Now that Ops Dash Classic is officially being depreciated is there any update on a fix for this bug?

I also agree that a more "intentional" search widget is needed in Ops Dash. Perhaps functionality like Experience Builder?

Thank you. Would it be possible to get an alert if/when this is fixed? I believe you have my email. We are in a bit of a holding pattern (having to use the work around that I mentioned in my previous thread) until then. I appreciate it. -Peter

Hi Justin, Thank you for the reply. Unless I am missing the true intention of this new design, these are a few end-user design / usability challenges I see: 1) Screen real-estate and element positional shift. Almost a quarter of the desktop space is now consumed by this new Info action region. As such, the map isn't centered. Splash screens, etc. are all moved. This effects usability due to the uncomfortable alignment and awkwardness of a each map now that they are shifted to an unexpected (un-centered) position. 2) This now requires users to perform an additional click (to hide it) and get to the information they are actually after when selecting a map from Hub. 3) The Info action region is disassociated and feels out of place in look, feel and purpose for a public map Hub. It does not by default show supporting information specific to the map a user selects (without somehow configuring it additionally first). Guessing the purpose is to replace a traditional splash screen? 4) In my experience, public map users want less, not more. Hubs is powerful because we can created subject specific apps that get to the point with as few clicks as possible and as much subject specific design as possible (no extra fluff). For us, this app design approach leads to better overall adaptation and usability. ***POSSIBLE FIX??*** After troubleshooting, I think our solution will be to have each app open in a new tab. This is very unfortunate because it takes away from the purpose of a true Hub. However, it seems to work. I guess we will have to go this route until (fingers crossed) this is fixed, as we can not have this odd Info Action region appear every time the public wants to use a map.

I believe this should be rapidly reevaluated. As far as end-user design goes, this decreases usability for existing maps and apps that have splash screens. I think the Actions Menu could have a place, but not by default and definitely not with existing maps that have been publicly deployed. -Also, there seems to be a global visibility setting (un-checked by default, see image below) but even so, the info tabs are visible. We will be watching this closely to see if a reversion is made. Making global changes to existing applications makes me worry about what else Esri might do down the road... Please revert this update.

I would like to add to this. Because Survey123 allows for public interaction this is a fairly significant issue. I'm surprised more users have not run into this yet. Or perhaps I am just missing something since there isn't more interest in resolving this? I guess I feel like telling the public to upgrade isn't the way to go. @Esri is there anything else we should try to resolve this? Thank Peter

Hi All, our team is running into the same issue. A "dirty" work around is to export the map to .jpg then use a PDF creator program like NitroPro to convert it to PDF. It should be noted that when I open a Pro created PDF in Photoshop, it looks fine. With pretty much any other viewer though, the grids are visible. We will continue to investigate this internally. I am hopefully Esri tech staff will be watching these threads for feedback and a solution will be found soon.

Hi All, This is possible. Just be sure of the following: - Add a RelatedReport element to your primary report layout (in the detail level in my case). -Double click on the RelatedReport to open it in design view. Add a Picture element to the RelatedReport Change the image source of the Picture element (right hand side in element properties) to the "DATA" field Change the Size Mode to Stretch (works best for me) Arrange the size of the Picture element so it takes up most or all of the space of the RelatedReport Arrange the size of the RelatedReport itself in design view of your primary report to ensure you have the image sized and aligned properly. Run the report and you should be good to go!

This is a great read. Thank you so much for putting it together. One question regarding Survey123. On the Survey123 home page, a few use cases are presented (Tornado relief, Citizen Science, Crowd Sourcing, etc.). If you have to use an ArcGIS Identity, how is the form distributed? Can the form be used without one, or is there some other way? Thanks so much.

Hello Paulo Please see this tool for detecting errors in address ranges: http://resources.arcgis.com/gallery/file/geocoding/details?entryID=1A290038-1422-2418-88FC-098400376B88 We also have a sample tool that can create address range values from address points alongside street centerlines; this tool requires the Data Interoperability extension, let me know if that is of interest. Regards Hi Bruce, Can you share a link to the second tool you referenced here-"adding ranges to centerlines"? Thanks,
