Three years since this was changed to "Under Consideration" and still I don't see aprx files in Catalog. Like another user said, I thought I was going crazy - I was sure I created this project file in this folder, yet I don't see it in Catalog. Was there a deliberate decision to hide these files for some reason? Why does it take more than three years to decide to go ahead and implement this?

@KoryKramer I am using Pro 3.2.2, and this idea still has not been implemented as far as I can tell, or at least not successfully. The attribute table still goes blank as I'm scrolling vertically, which is still a big downgrade in functionality compared to ArcMap. It makes it difficult to visually scan through data as I'm scrolling. My actual experience is much worse than the video you shared 3 years ago which supposedly demonstrates the fix. In Pro, not only does the table go blank, but there is also a lag where the scrollbar and rows on the screen do not keep up with my movement of the pointer as I'm trying to move the scrollbar. It is very disorienting. I'm wondering if my experience might be due to my computer's capacity, but I do not have similar problems in ArcMap on the same computer with the same data, so this would seem to indicate that the problem is with the ArcGIS Pro software.

This should not be possible: 100% means it's finished. Yet, various tools will be still running for an indefinite amount of time. Don't tell me it's at 100% if it's still running. Please make 100% actually mean what it says.

I would love to be able to condense the rows in the attribute table, to reduce the blank space above and below text in each row, so I can fit more information on the screen at once. In ArcMap I was able to view much more information in the attribute table, with the same font size, because there wasn't as much empty space. This is one thing still discouraging me from using Pro. In this comparison, the ArcMap table on the right is much more useful to me. I cannot find a setting for this in Pro. I upgraded to Pro 3.2.1, and I see the setting for table row height where I can select Single, Double, or Triple - but Single still has too much wasted space for me. It is more visually appealing, but that is not helpful for me as a user. There is a setting in ArcMap "Cell Height" where you can set the table cell height as a % of font size - please make this available in Pro if it is not already. @NathanShephard @KoryKramer (tagging people who I saw replying to similar posts) P.S. If you do implement this idea, please make the cell height changeable in any table at any time, not only when a new table is brought into the map. P.S. I chose the label "Usability (UI/UX)". Someone changed my label to "Map Exploration". I think of Map Exploration as things like panning, zooming, identifying visual features on a map. This issue is not about a map. It's about a data table. I want to make the table more usable, hence "Usability".

This idea goes back to 2011... Does it still not exist yet?

This would be immensely helpful to me. Another example: Say you have two sets of point features, and you want to join attributes from the nearest point in the other set, but only if a certain attribute value matches. The nearest point of all may not have the matching value, so you only want to join the one that does. @DrewFlater please make this happen! @MiguelMartinezYordan excellent suggestion!

This should be marked as the answer, at least for the part about drawing a window to identify everything in the window. Thanks! I probably never would have figured this out by chance.

10 years later, I still hate the Home folder and want to remove it. For instance, I change the name of a feature class somewhere in the catalog, and the Home folder immediately expands to show me that file. Yeah, I was already looking at it in the catalog. I don't need the Home folder to show me the same file. It's redundant and disorienting. And like others said, when navigating up one level I get sent to the Home folder instead of actually up one level - this is also frustrating.

Thanks - I wish I had found this years ago. Just now decided to search for the answer instead of accepting the default 3 decimal places like I always have.

This is essentially the solution I came up with. Say I want to delete duplicates with identical values in two fields, and keep the record with the lowest value in a third field. First, I used the Sort tool, specifying all three fields as sort fields, to produce a copy of the data that will have OBJECTID values in the sorted order. Then, run Delete Identical on the new sorted data, specifying the first two fields, so that when duplicates are found, the first one encountered will be kept, which should be the one with lowest value in the third field. This assumes that OBJECTID is what the tool uses to decide which duplicate record to keep. I am having trouble verifying that for sure, but it seems to be what is happening when I run the tool.

Yes, this would be very helpful! In my case, I'm trying to delete duplicate records based on identical values in two fields, but I want to specify to keep the one with the lowest value in another field. I believe I have found a roundabout way to do this: First, use Sort tool to produce a new copy of the dataset which will be sorted by the first two fields and also then by the third field. So then, when I run Delete Identical, the first duplicate record encountered will be the one with the lowest value in the third field, so this will be the one that remains. But I want to be sure this works. Ideally, I would be able to specify this behavior as an additional parameter in the Delete Identical tool.

I'm using ArcGIS Desktop 10.7. Concerning the Sort (data management) tool (described here😞 Say I specify 3 sort fields, and there are records that have matching values for all 3. How does the tool decide which of those records are sorted first? Does it go by OBJECTID value, or another field? Is it random?

I can't enter a valid date for the value either. It may be that I just don't have permission to edit this field or this feature class.
