Join me as we add repeats to surveys using ArcGIS Survey123 Connect. Repeats are useful any time a survey is being used to collect multiple attributes about a single asset or location, such as workflows for asset inspection or human population surveys. This was recorded using ArcGIS Survey123 Connect, version 3.17.54, in March 2023. For additional help with repeats, check out Esri Community post from @IsmaelChivite, Survey123 Tricks of the Trade: Repeats. Hi Jeff, try logging into ArcGIS Server Manager and under Services > System, try restarting the CachingTools service and the PublishingTools service. If that doesn't fix it, try logging into the ArcGIS Server Admin endpoint, and go to Services > System, and open each of these 4 services and restart them all: CachingTools, CachingToolsEx, PublishingTools, PublishingToolsEx. Then try publishing again.

Hi Sakib, There is a bug for this issue, BUG-000147209. The bug is logged for 10.9.1, and there are bugs for previous versions as well. Per the bug, the "Photos with Locations" option in the publishing interface was added prematurely; the capability is not yet available within ArcGIS Enterprise. You may wish to post about this on the ArcGIS Ideas page to create some additional visibility.

Hi Tycho, there was an enhancement request logged for this, and it was approved. This capability will be available in Portal for ArcGIS 10.6.

When Survey123 publishes the hosted service, it's publishing a regular hosted feature service to ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS with editor tracking enabled. This same setting can be applied to any hosted feature service by editing the item in either application. When editor tracking is enabled, the additional 4 fields are appended to the schema of the feature service. The differences you found in the editor tracking fields are present in any hosted feature service, not just those published from Survey123. This has something to do with the backend of processes of ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Server. The hosted feature service's fields within Portal are similar to the fields that are created on a feature class in ArcMap when you enabled editor tracking. ArcGIS Online is handles it differently. Generally, it's just a matter of different schemas between otherwise similar services, and shouldn't be problematic in most cases. For what you're experiencing with your GeoEvent input connector, it may just be a matter of using a different GeoEvent Definition. In the Site tab in GeoEvent Manager, in the GeoEvent Definitions tab, choose 'Import' and import a Definition from the hosted feature service within Portal. You may need to replace the existing Definition if it was created using the same method from ArcGIS Online. Reference the new Definition in the fs-poll-in input connector settings.

Yes, that makes sense. The environment I was using was a brand new test environment, where it was OK to break things. There have been cases where there are problems re-federating after un-federating. I'd suggest doing a system-wide backup before trying this.

I ran into the same problem--I was able to fix it on my end, but I'm not exactly sure why it fixed it. I'll explain what I did--you might look into it as well. When I originally federated my Portal, I didn't have a web adaptor configured with ArcGIS Server. So when federating, I used port 6443 for both the Services URL and the Administration URL. Setup this way, I watched Fiddler while running an analysis task in Portal. Looking at the input parameters for the SubmitJob task in Fiddler, all of the services are being called and created over ports 6443 and 6080. I don't know that this is inherently wrong or not, it just struck me as abnormal. I installed a web adaptor for ArcGIS Server (separate from the Portal web adaptor, which is required), and un-federated and re-federated, using the web adaptor URL for the Services URL. After doing this, Analysis worked successfully.
