Hi Timothy, This issue hasn't been fixed since this thread started. Any idea of when we might expect one? At the UC maybe? Calculating a stat in Pro is quite frustrating. Like the others have commented, we like and want a quick right-click stats function like the one in ArcMap. I get that the method in Pro allows more flexibility, and I'm a huge fan of what Pro can do, but going through a multi-step process to find the simple sum, etc. of a field is really annoying and time consuming. Thanks, Lisa

Ramiro, where are these tutorials please. I can't find any specific for ArcGIS Earth. Chris, is there a way to import SketchUp 3D models into ArcGIS Earth, or to extrude shapefiles with elevation attributes? I currently use ArcGIS Pro and ArcScene for those things but would love to see Esri provide 3D content and buildings for cities like mine who can't/won't purchase model sets... Thanks!

Is there a way to collect a point without the app using my 'current' location. Even after adjusting accuracy to 5m (the best it will let you), I am not able to place the point manually at the exact spot I know a sample has just been collected. Is there a way to override this and place the point myself?

No I didn't know that, but just tried it and got this error message "Cannot create import wizard page: Asset reader failed! See error log". Is there something else I need to do? Interestingly though, if I open the kml file in SketchUp first and export it as a dae, then it opens ok in CityEngine, although it isn't georeferenced properly and untextured. 😞

Yes and no... I was able to open a KML in SketchUp and save it as a DAE, then I brought it into CityEngine and the model looks ok, although no textures. It does align to the terrain but it's not in the proper location geographically. So I have two issues: How do I give each one the proper coordinates? From SketchUp perhaps? And how do I apply the texture maps saved as jpegs? Do I bring all the DAE and jpeg files into CityEngine and use rules or can they be saved with the textures as a KMZ and brought into CityEngine?

Hi, Just wondering if anyone else has tried using models created from KML files in CityEngine or ArcScene. I have some that I can bring into SketchUp and export back out as DAE, but they seem to have gaps, and I'm not sure how to get the textures on. If anyone has tried this I'd love to know what works! Thanks

Hi Matt, Hoping you can help again. 🙂 I'm having trouble with a floating terrain. The footprints are on the grid, but how do I get the terrain aligned to the grid? Thanks, Lisa

Thanks for your help Matt. Yes, I used the projection created on export from the data frame so that wasn't an issue. Changing the resolution to something lower also helped but the trick that finally worked was leaving ALL the settings alone on import. I had been changing it to 'hue' first. Obviously not the thing to do! 🙂

hmm. can you post the files ? [maybe in downsampled quality] the resolutions are also below 4000x4000 pixels, right ? matt Yes. I'm wondering if it would work using the CityEngine_Prep.tbx I saw in the video about integration with GIS data. Where would I find that tool? Thanks!

Hi Matt, I didn't watch the videos but worked through the tuts following the PDF instructions. The DTM is only assigned to the map. So I think there must be a problem with my imagery perhaps? It's in the correct projection and same extent as the DTM so I don't what elsse I'm missing. Thanks, Lisa
