Hi, when I use the 'long URL' the embedded experience presents the attributes for the selected feature, however it doesn't zoom to the selected feature.. but instead the embed presents the default map extent. Previously I'd thought that the 'zoom to selected feature' had been working.. but its not working now. The embed code I'm using is as follows: <iframe width="1080" height="720" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen src="https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/d29087da77714ddfb6642e3df642ddc9?org=dfi-ni#data_s=geometry%3A27a4dd2f2d4f475284dcdc5bb2aa5e26-CapitalScheme_3651%3A%7B%22spatialReference%22%3A%7B%22latestWkid%22%3A3857%2C%22wkid%22%3A102100%7D%2C%22rings%22%3A%5B%5B%5B-694542.9595277839%2C7310732.321756193%5D%2C%5B-693941.017930039%2C7310732.321756193%5D%2C%5B-693941.017930039%2C7310273.699586482%5D%2C%5B-694542.9595277839%2C7310273.699586482%5D%2C%5B-694542.9595277839%2C7310732.321756193%5D%5D%5D%7D"></iframe> which is being carried across to the properties of the Embed in my StoryMap. Not sure what all the parameters mean that are now included in the URL.. grateful for any assistance.

The latest Release Notes (March 20, 2024) suggests that the following has been fixed. Links with hashes are not truncated when adding them as embeds (BUG-000165479). but I'm still getting my 'Experience' embed truncated whenever I try to include in my Story Map.. below is the embed link I'm trying to use.. <iframe width="1080" height="720" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen src="https://arcg.is/LXKWn"></iframe> which should have a feature selected and should zoom to that feature and present attributes.. but the properties of the embed are truncated to: https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/d29087da77714ddfb6642e3df642ddc9?org=dfi-ni Has the fix been applied, or am I doing something wrong?

The way I'd approach this is to use ArcGISPro, and have a daily status list for those locations that reported along with a reference dataset 'control set' of the locations. Assuming each location has a unique identifier, and that the unique identifier is included in your daily status list... then you could do the following... - In ArcGISPro, use [Add Join] to join the control set to the daily report set using the unique ID. Make sure to untick the [Keep All Target Features] box. - Once the Join completes, then Open the Attribute Table and use Switch Selection so that all rows are now selected (in my example the inspections are weekly and sometimes each asset may be inspected more than once, but some may be missed). - Now remove the Join. You should have a table showing your 'control set' with those that have reported status selected. - Next Use 'Switch Selection' to show the list that didn't report status. - You could then export these features to a geodatabase (include a new column for date), and do this on a daily basis. - If you include this layer in the service/web map that populates your dashboard, then you should be able report on locations that didn't report their status. I guess you could also automate the above workflow.

We have an identical problem, and have taken various approaches to resolve. Like yourself we have used symbology to record assets that have been inspected and have an underlying layer that shows all the assets... so the colour and visibility of the underlying assets can highlight where inspections were missed, however our users still want a list of inspections missed. So another approach was to use ModelBuilder to basically do what is essentially an MS Access Unmatched Query... not the most elegant solution for a number of reasons. Be interested to see what other approaches have been applied... this must be a common enough workflow.

Hi, I'm hoping that some of you might be able to point me in the right direction with what I'm trying to achieve.. I have a public-facing Story Map that provides an overview of flood alleviation schemes.. link below https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/32cb28e2dc744243bd2d2c48e7245008 Within this Story map I have a section which allows the user to view individual Story Maps for each project. Below is an example screenshot https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/5a5365eabb7d4897b8f6b5c16ac68db9 The section indicated is manually updated using an image from Powerpoint, so needs replaced whenever any of the values change. The values are actually store as attributes of a feature class, and I'd thought to replace the image with a simple 'Experience' that includes a map and a banner that automatically updates whenever the attributes are changed... and I wanted to use the same Experience in all project Story Maps, but to utilise URL parameters to present the pin for the correct project and populate the banner with the correct values appropriate for that project. So my 'Capital Scheme Story Map Embed' experience which I'm hoping to use is at the URL below: https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/d29087da77714ddfb6642e3df642ddc9/ and when I select a project the banner looks like screenshot below... the URL changes once I select a project pin and the attributes in the banner get populated. So, my next step was to use the share button to get the embed code so that I could then include the above within my Project Story Map, replacing the static image. So for each Project Story Map, my plan was to pan to the appropriate location, select the project, which would then populate the banner and provide a URL that was specific to that project. However, when I go to my Project Story Map and use the [Embed] option to add the section in, what appears to happen is that the Embed widget simplifies the Story Map properties, so that the URL with all the 'project specific' detail is lost i.e. map in wrong place, no stats in banner, which behaviour seems to be confirmed whenever I examine the Embed Properties (see screenshot below). Maybe there's a better way of achieving the same result? Basically what I'd like is a section within each Project Story Map with a map and some key stats. Grateful, if you've any thoughts on how to achieve this.

The surveys that I transferred to my PC were actually from a tablet that had a few test inspections that I had deliberately stored in the Outbox.. so initially I wanted to figure out how to get the Survey123 SQLite database and photo attachments from my Android tablet to my PC. So copied to the right folders and ran the Fix database option and the surveys appeared... and yes, I was able to send them from Survey123 desktop app. But reckon it'll be a different story when I get a SQLite database transferred from a tablet where they are stuck in the Outbox. I suspect I should be able to open them in a previous version of my survey (hopefully), but won't be able to send.. I'll know more in a day or so once I get a 'problem' tablet. So ideally would like to be able to convert SQLite database to fgdb.

Hi, I have a survey, which had been working fine, until I made some changes to the schema (added extra fields to underlying database) and re-published. My re-published survey works fine on tablets that are using the latest version of the survey, but unfortunately some users still had some surveys in the Survey123 Outbox prior to the survey being re-published... so now the old surveys won't submit and any new surveys that they collect will be stuck in the Outbox, unless I delete all the old surveys that were 'stuck'. So I've reviewed a few of the posts on this type of issue, and I've been able to get the .SQLite database and the attachments folder transferred from my Android tablet to my PC. I can open the desktop version of Survey123 and see the surveys, so the data looks OK... but what I need now is a way to convert the SQLite database in to a fgdb, so that I can append it to my main survey feature class. I imagine this type of issue can't be that uncommon... so hoping that you experts out there might be able to point me in the right direction to convert my Sqlite database to a file geodatabase.

@abureaux I think I eventually figured it out.. your advice pointed me in the right direction.. the page at https://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/desktop/create-surveys/geopoints.htm and the section on 'Defaults' (see text below) provides me with the logic that I was after' and allows me to have the Geopoint question set as 'hidden'. Geopoint questions that are switched from a non-relevant to a relevant state will not automatically update to the device's location. Set the default value as position to automatically get the current location identified by the device when the question is made relevant. Thanks for your assistance!!

press-to-locate isn't an appearance parameter in my survey... probably due to the original survey design pre-dating the inclusion of the press-to-locate option. Is there a way to update the survey so that this parameter option is included?

This question is a follow up to an earlier post here, where I use a 2nd geopoint question within a survey to compare the location of the asset being surveyed (geopoint populated by pulldata from CSV) with the tablet's GPS location. I think what's happening is that inspectors are opening the survey prior to arriving on site, thus the 2nd geopoint is being calculated as soon as the survey is opened, which may occasionally be kilometers away from the asset location. I do have a few questions that can only be answered whenever the inspector is actually on site.. - one is photograph question - one is a text question (Y or N) - one is an integer question (values 0 to 10). I've tried setting the 'relevant' parameter on the geopoint question based on the response to the text question.. and similarly for the integer question, but the behaviour isn't quite what I'm after.. The relevant parameter controls whether the geopoint question is displayed... but when it is displayed, I have to tap on the GPS location point to get it to get the coordinates. In my live survey, I want this 2nd geopoint question to be hidden, so the user doesn't have to tap on the screen to get the geopoint to locate... Is this possible?

Hi, could I ask a further question on this topic... Now that we have applied the solution to capture the tablet's GPS coordinates, and we have applied the formula provided by @DougBrowning , we are finding that there can be a significant distance between the asset lat/long and the tablet lat/long. What I've noticed is that the tablet lat/longs are populated to the survey as soon as the survey is opened.. so our inspectors may be on route to their next inspection, and are opening the survey in readiness before they arrive on site, consequently we may be getting warnings generated unnecessarily. As our inspection also involves taking a photograph, is there a way to tie the timing of the tablet lat/long computation, in to the point in the survey where the photo is captured.. as this would avoid collecting tablet lat/longs that are on route to the asset? (Hope this make sense).

We've tried to configure the default ArcGIS Enterprise connector numerous times and been unable to get the connection created. Its taken us months to get the custom connector working even with assistance from local ESRI office. There seem to be security blocks on the WAF which affect our ability to get ArcGIS Enterprise to behave as its supposed to. Screen shot below shows configuration screen for the ArcGIS Custom Connector.. Are there other Actions that would allow a 'Post to a feature service' that can be added to this connector, or that would be available if the default ArcGIS Connector was worked?

Hi @abureaux , thanks for reply.. we are using a custom connector to connect to surveys on our ArcGIS Enterprise platform, created using guidance at link below.. https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/how-to-create-an-arcgis-survey123-connector-for-microso-000025025 Wasn't able to get the Power Automate ArcGIS Enterprise connector to work.
