Hello Susan, At this point you have 2 options: Upgrade to EM4BOBJ2.0 and take advantage of the new features in the software. As I mentioned earlier you can download the Esri Maps for SAP BusinessObjects from esri.com. Follow the steps described in the Upgrade Esri Maps for SAP BusinessObjects section of the online help to upgrade from EM4BOBJ1.0 to EM4BOBJ2.0. Configure the proxy by doing the following: Verify that you can route and HTTP request through the internal proxy. For example http://<mySAPBIPlatformServer>/em4bobj/dashb/proxy.jsp?http://www.arcgis.com/sharing?f=pjson should return the ArcGIS online version. If this is successful, proceed to the next step Refer to the knowledge base article Problem: Location types are missing when adding data from a business system to resolve the problem. Hope this helps. Shirley

Hello Susan, The location types problem has been fixed in EM4BOBJv2.0. Verify that versions of both server and client components installed are version 2.0. To check the version of the server component installed: navigate to the <SAP BOBJ Install Dir>\webapps\em4bobj\em4bobj\ open the version.txt file. The version number should be 2.0 To check the version of the add-on in SAP Dashboard: Launch SAP Dashboards Create a new blank dashboard Click on File, then select Manage Add-Ons Select the Esri Maps for SAP BusinessObjects Add-On In the Add-on Details, the version should be 2.0 If any of the versions is not you can obtain the EM4BOBJv2.0 download from the product page. If both versions are 2.0, then clear your IE browser cache, re-launch SAP Dashboards. The location types should be visible. Thank you Shirley

Hello Susan, The scenario you mentioned is not as a result of a proxy configuration. You will have to bind your excel data to the map. Follow the following steps to do that: Click the Esri map component to display its Properties panel. On the General tab, in the Data Sources section, click the + (plus sign) icon. In the Source Name field, type a new name for the data source. Click the Binding Selector icon beside the Source Data field, and select Spreadsheet. Select the cells of data that you want to bind to the map and click Ok in the Select a Range dialog box. For more information on how to bind data to your map, refer to the build a map enabled dashboard section of the documentation, Hope this helps. Shirley

Hello Rajesh, The message means there is have an error in your settings.js configuration file (which is located in <Tomcat installation directory>\webapps\em4bobj\dashb\configuration\settings.js). Verify that you have entered the correct portal/ArcGIS online URL for the arcgisUrl property field. The settings in the file should look like this arcgisUrl: "[URL to ArcGIS organization]", //for example: "http://portalhost.esri.com", arcgisAuthType: "user", // or "app" arcgisAppUser: "", arcgisAppPassword: "", arcgisAppId: "" For more information on configuring the authentication please refer to the documentation http://location-analyticsdev.arcgis.com/en/maps-for-sap-bobj/install-and-configure/configure-login-settings.htm If this doesn't help, kindly provide me with additional information to help me diagnose your problem. 1. Are you connecting to ArcGIS online or and on-premise portal? 2. Which ArcGIS authentication type are you using ? app or user NOTE: If you are using 'app' authentication, the arcgisAppId needs to be blank. Hope this helps. Shirley

Hello Arjun, The error message you obtained can occur due to a number of issues. Please follow the steps outlined below to help narrow down the cause of the problem: 1. Verify that the webmap was shared properly on ArcGIS online by opening the webmap using the using the ArcGIS.com map viewer. 2. The Esri Maps for SAP BusinessObjects software must point to the same ArcGIS organisation which the webmap was share to. You can verify this URL in the settings.js file located in <EM4BOBJ_INSTALL_DIR>/dashb/configurations/settings.js where <EM4BOBJ_INSTALL_DIR> is the location where the Esri Maps for SAP BusinessObjects server-side components is installed. 3. The ArcGIS account you logged in with must have correct privileges (or access rights) to access the webmap. For instance, sign in to Esri Maps for SAP BusinessObjects using the same organization account you used to share the map in excel and verify if you are now able to add the webmap. Hope this helps. Hello Scott, At this time, there is no definitive timeframe for the availability of this integration. Although on the roadmap, there is a fair amount of investigation that must occur around the technical implementation, as well as working with SAP to ensure that both of our strategic directions are aligned. To submit an enhancement request for Webi Integration, kindly go to ideas.arcgis.com. Thank you, Shirley

Hi Tanmay, The error page you posted indicates the request was being processed by tomcat 7 and not tomcat6. Do you have multiple tomcat folders within the path C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\ ? I suggest you deploy the software into the C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\tomcat\webapps folder and restart tomcat, and test again. Hope this helps. Shirley

Hello Tanmay, Based on your error message, it appears the designer.html file is not available in the path ../tomcat/webapps/em4bobj/dashb/. Please verify that you deployed the server-side components (em4bobj folder) into the tomcat/webapps folder. Also, navigate to the path tomcat/webapps/em4bobj/dashb/ and verify that the designer.html file exists in that folder. The configuration of your settings.js file is good. However, I recommend you make a few changes in your proxy.config file while we troubleshoot. Locate the serverUrls property and set its mustMatch attibute to false. e.g. <serverUrls mustMatch = "false"> Restart your tomcat server, clear your browser cache. Create another map-enabled dashboard and verify if the error screen appears again. Thank you Shirley

Thank you, however we had tried just that and the map designer still opens ArcGIS Online and asks the user to sign in to ArcGIS Online. The link in the post above is broken when I try to access that site. So we switched our setup back to ArcGIS online settings and now we can publish to ArcGIS Online but we cannot view the map/data within the dashboard.....we have not had much success in trying to set this up, unfortunately. Also, one user can sign in successfully to ArcGIS Online through the mapping tool, but another user cannot. Any feedback on any of these issues is greatly appreciated. Thanks again. Hello Allison, Are you still experiencing problems with your setup? Are you able to respond to private messages? If you are still having issues, I will need details about your environment in order to troubleshoot further and I do not think it is wise to do so over the public forum. I sent you a private message a week ago. Kindly confirm if you received it and if you are able to provide the information I requested. If you did not receive it kindly send me a private message and I will respond. Thank you Shirley

Hello Allison, Esri Maps for SAP BusinessObjects can be configured to use an on-premise Portal for ArcGIS deployment in the settings.js configuration file. This file is located in <Tomcat installation directory>\webapps\em4bobj\dashb\configuration\settings.js Open the settings.js file in any standard text editor, such as Notepad++ and provide the url of your Portal for ArcGIS as the value for the arcgisUrl property. The Url must be enclosed in quatation marks (" ") and should be in the format http://[PortalHost]/[PortalApp] For example:The settings should look like this arcgisUrl: "[URL to Portal for ArcGIS]?, //e.g. arcgisUrl: "http://portalhost.esri.com/gis", arcgisAuthType: "user", arcgisAppUser: "", arcgisAppPassword: "", arcgisAppId: "" For more information on please refer to the documentation http://location-analyticsdev.arcgis.com/en/maps-for-sap-bobj/install-and-configure/administrative-and-login-settings.htm Thanks, Shirley

Hello Allison, This error typically occurs when your firewall has been configured to block internal proxy requests. If this is the case, you will need to configure an upstream proxy. When you configure an upstream proxy, all calls from the Esri Maps for SAP BusinessObjects internal proxy are routed through the specified URL to the proxy server, which in turn routes calls to the ArcGIS platform. The proxy configuration file (proxy.config) is located at the following path on your server: em4bobj\dashb\proxy.config. To specify an upstream proxy, set the useUpstreamProxy element's enabled attribute to true, and specify the URL of the upstream proxy server. For example: <useUpstreamProxy enabled="true"> http://127.0.0.1:8888 </useUpstreamProxy> For more information please refer Configure Upstream Proxy section on our documentation Shirley
