Hello Paul, For the first error, please check specialties, there might be something wrong in how you have specified the problem. For the second error, we currently fail when there are pre-assigned orders to routes and a hard constraint like MaxTotalTime is violated. Right now, we don't have an option like "Ignore invalid Pre-Assigned Orders" as you suggested, we will add this to our list of requests and we will discuss on this. As a workaround, please solve for the other routes and post-process for the specific requirement. If I could get a look at the inputs, I would be able to suggest/verify more. -Shubhada

Hello Ihab, I am able to run this on the online VRP solver, the error is "Order D-7503911 is unlocated". Please check your inputs - "{"geometry":{"x":"0","y":"0"},"attributes":{"Name":"D-7503911","RouteName":"3370","ServiceTime":"5","TimeWindowEnd1":1581706380000}}" and x, y coordinates seem to be wrong for your analysis. For your other questions- How to troubleshoot this? In the case when the violated constraint is set to a number, is there a way to know what specific constraint(s) were violated ? - There is a section on troubleshooting at the end of this help page - https://developers.arcgis.com/rest/network/api-reference/vehicle-routing-problem-service.htm For how long are the results of a failed or successful asynchoronous job stored on ArcGIS Online? - 24 hours on logistics.arcgis.com Does it cost credits to fetch the results ? - The credits are charged only for running jobs, no credits for fetching results. How does the solver behave when the request is missing a parameter that cannot be null ? does it use the default value or just fail to solve without reporting that a mandatory parameter is missing ? - Some params have defualt values and some throw an error when mandatory parameter is not entered. For more details - https://developers.arcgis.com/rest/network/api-reference/vehicle-routing-problem-service.htm

Hello Maarten, The type of TImeWindowStart should be "esriFieldTypeDate" instead of "esriFieldTypeDouble". I was able to solve this successfully by changing the same. Please try the following JSON string for breaks. Do let me know if this doesn't work. //breaks: {"features": [{"attributes": {"RouteName": "Driver 1", "Precedence": 1, "ServiceTime": 60, "TimeWindowStart": 1530964800000.0, "TimeWindowEnd": 1530964920000.0, "OBJECTID": 1}}], "objectIdFieldName": "OBJECTID", "fields": [{"name": "RouteName", "alias": "RouteName", "type": "esriFieldTypeString", "sqlType": "sqlTypeOther"}, {"name": "Precedence", "alias": "Precedence", "type": "esriFieldTypeInteger", "sqlType": "sqlTypeOther"}, {"name": "ServiceTime", "alias": "ServiceTime", "type": "esriFieldTypeInteger", "sqlType": "sqlTypeOther"}, {"name": "TimeWindowStart", "alias": "TimeWindowStart", "type": "esriFieldTypeDate", "sqlType": "sqlTypeOther"}, {"name": "TimeWindowEnd", "alias": "TimeWindowEnd", "type": "esriFieldTypeDate", "sqlType": "sqlTypeOther"}, {"name": "OBJECTID", "type": "esriFieldTypeOID", "alias": "OBJECTID", "sqlType": "sqlTypeOther"}]} Thanks, Shubhada

Hello David, Are you still facing this? If yes, do you mean it schedules only 360 orders in one route? If you see this for each route, there is an attribute called MaxOrderCount in Routes parameter, you might have set that to 360. Do let me know if you still need an answer. -Shubhada

Hello Shruti, Would you be able to send me the layer file or the orders layer? That would give me some idea probably. Get Outlook for iOS<https://aka.ms/o0ukef>

Hello Shruti, The only case I can think of, in this case is when there is no value for pickupquantities column for the orders. Either it is not set in the orders table or when you assign the orders layer as input to the VRP GP service, the chosen orders layer is not the one where the pickupquantities are set. Could you please confirm this and respond? I could help further if it is not the case. Thanks, Shubhada

As a workaround, you can create a fake order at the location of the Depot, specify AssignmentRule for this fake order as 'AnchorLast' (value 5). If the truck's capacity is 1000, specify quantity for this order as 999. Basically, just enough to serve one order in the capacity of the truck. This way, the order will be served last, the truck will go to renewal site before it comes to the order(which is the same location as the depot), and then disregard the last order for each such route. Hope this helps.

Hello Doug, I have a doubt here, you said the service time always remain 7 minutes and at the end, you said about incorporating the dynamic service time. I am unsure if it is static or dynamic. Assuming the service time is 7 minutes always, I have a suggestion for you. the statement 'A time window only states when a vehicle can arrive at an order; it doesn't state when the service time must be completed. To account for service time and leave before the time window is over, subtract ServiceTime from the TimeWindowEnd1 field.' , means, if the service time is 7 minutes and you allowed 15 minutes delay in the arrival which means timewindowstart1 = 2:00 PM and timewindowend1 = 2:15 PM. and you want the bus to depart by 2:15 PM(with service of 7 minutes), you should set timewindowstart1 = 2:00 PM and timewindowend1 = 2:08 PM. and service time being 7 minutes entered in the solver. This will take care of latest allowed depart time(timewindowend1 +7). You would also want to explore InboundArriveTime if your date value and time value is static. Please let me know if you have a doubt. Thanks, Shubhada
