Hi Giacomo Favaron, did you find an approach to publish your multiple different rasters with VAT within a mosaic?

Hi Melanie, Yes, still getting the `Your federated server version does not support web tools` error. We're running 10.5.1 and have got access to the admin API. Thanks, Steven

Hi Jeff Pace, good find and thanks for documenting the issue up here, this just helped me resolve map service publishing issues. However we're having issues publishing Web Tools, have you tried this within your environment? Prior to updating the "name" I was getting the following issues for map services and web tools respectively, `The ArcGIS GIS server role is not licensed on the ArcGIS Server` and `Your federated server version does not support web tools`. We have three federated servers, 'server' (server for maps and Is Hosted True), 'geoprocess' (server for gp), 'image', the image server was first in the list and publishing to image services was fine. After updating the "name" map services work but the web tool error remains. Within the Web Tool Content pane at first no Federated Server is selected in the dropdown, then when switching it to either of our 'server' servers (site.com/server or site.com/geoprocess) and analyzing again it will crash Pro. Any thoughts appreciated! Cheers, Steven cc Melanie Summers

Hi, noticed the following in the WAB config about switching between 2D/3D, is there any target version to support a switchable viewer? 3D Boolean. Default: false—Identifies whether the map is 3D or 2D. If both 3D and 2D are true, it’s an app with the ability to switch between 3D and 2D (not supported in this version). 2D Boolean. Yeah, so this will give us the server name, from here we can assume the standard port to hit the arcgis server directly. Not quite what I was fishing for but could solve my example case. Different example If it was a clustered server scenario, running different services on each server, accessed through the same web adapter, and we had to request a service back from the cluster, we'd need to hit the web adapter to find our service.

I'm wanting to know if a server arcpy geoprocessing job has any awareness of the url it was requested by, or what web adapter instance it is running on. Let say I want a geoprocessing script that will stop all running mapserver instances on its server, and I want to deploy this same script across multiple servers, each with different web adaptors To stop the services I need to get an admin token from the server it is running on. So given the two servers below, is it possible to have the same gp task published on each of them, know what server to request the token from? Without explicitly passing it in as parameter of the job. https://myaddress.com/arcgisONE/rest/services/gpService/stopMaps/GPServer https://myaddress.com/arcgis/rest/services/gpService/stopMaps/GPServer I'm thinking something like arcpy.env.server.hostname == myaddress.com arcpy.env.server.instance == arcgisONE so it could construct https://myaddress.com/arcgisONE/tokens to request the required token Cheers, Steven

Hi, We're setting up a new server and migrating from 10.1 to 10.2 at the same time. Does anyone have experience with this or know if the backup/ restore approach described here can be applied in this situation? Cheers!

And the answer was rather obscure and "should probably be included by default" according to tech support but IE caching responses was to blame.... http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/88625-IE-caching-responses-to-GP.submitJob-callbacks?highlight=submitjob -steven

Hi Folks, The following code is working just fine in Chrome and FF but the callback does not fire for IE 9 or IE 11. I'm feeling stumped, both callback approaches work for Chrome/ FF Am I missing something obvious?? Thanks! jsapi: 3.8 jquery: 1.9.1
var gpTask = new esri.tasks.Geoprocessor('https://balh.com/arcgis/rest/services/gpService/shpToFl/GPServer/shpToFl');
var inParams = {};
inParams.shapeZip = '{"itemID":"' + result.item.itemID + '"}'
console.log('submitting job');
//this.gpTask.submitJob(inParams, lang.hitch(this, this.gpTaskComplete), '', lang.hitch(this, this.gpError));
gpTask.submitJob(inParams,
function(result){
console.log('result!!!!')
},
function(message){
// this is the only part IE will call
console.log('messages')
},
function(error){
console.log('error')
});
gpTask.on('job-complete', function(result){
console.log('this work??')
});

I'm trying to use the geometry service relation to find objects in a graphics layer that are intersecting or within my extent. My geometries to find can be points or polylines. I've tried a number of options but can't find a combination of parameters that work when I input mixed geometry types. Using Shape Comparison Language I'm getting Unable to complete operation. - Dimension extended relationship evaluation failed on any cominations I try. I'd like to avoid splitting the graphics by type to query them and get the impression I shouldn't have to but can't find the silver bullet. Thanks, Steven

Terrible work around but have you tried query.orderByFields = ["[\"OBJECTID\"]"]; Very sneaky, the old sting that looks like an array inside an array trick, it works!

After applying the ArcGIS Server 10.1 Quality Improvement Patch we're getting errors on queries using the orderByFields parameter. query.outSpatialReference = map.spatialReference; query.returnGeometry = false; query.outFields = ["*"]; query.where = "1=1"; query.orderByFields = ["OBJECTID"]; The js api encodes this into the request as orderByFields=OBJECTID <-- FAILS with "{"error":{"code":400,"message":"Unable to complete operation.","details":[]}}" Running the same query through the rest service explorer results in that parameter being encoded as orderByFields=["OBJECTID"] <--- WORKS I can confirm our endpoint table Supports Advanced Queries and I have tested this against the latest api version. Is there another query parameter that I'm missing?

I've noticed the missing title issue too. I've found it will show up on subsequent refresh's of the legend.
