My goal is to set up an automated script that each user can use to update their software to versions I preset and download. We don't have those prvcs and only a subset of the people running the script will need to update or newly install pro. I can't really predict that. However, they all know where they can find licenses so if they choose to install/update they can manually run the authorization. So if i run msiexec.exe /i %INSTALL%\ArcPro%PRONEW%\ArcGISPro\ArcGISPro.msi ALLUSERS=1 SOFTWARE_CLASS=Viewer AUTHORIZATION_TYPE=SINGLE_USE LOCK_AUTH_SETTINGS=False BLOCKADDINS=0 ENABLEEUEI=0 %ProgramFiles%\ArcGIS\Pro\bin\SoftwareAuthorizationPro.exe" /qb Installation will go through and then the user will be asked to authorize? Currently without adding that licensing software part and authorization form pops up but like I said it is grayed out. Only way to fix it is to completely uninstall (attempting re-installation, even manually ends at the same grayed out auth form)

Don't have prvcs. The lock authorization has to do with computer wide installations. If you don't disable it local users can't run the authorization at all. What i want is the installation to run then when a user first opens the application the authorization to pop up. Can I just envoke the SoftwareAuthorizationPro.exe in a silent install? Without prvc set.

Here is my code for a batch file for my team: msiexec.exe /i %INSTALL%\ArcPro%PRONEW%\ArcGISPro\ArcGISPro.msi ALLUSERS=1 SOFTWARE_CLASS=Viewer AUTHORIZATION_TYPE=SINGLE_USE LOCK_AUTH_SETTINGS=False BLOCKADDINS=0 ENABLEEUEI=0 /qb I have looked at this Localized and silent install options—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop and everything seems properly configured? Every time this is run it will install but then people get stuck in the Licensing window. It has a grayed out option and says "This functionality is not available without the ArcGIS Pro Licensing Service being installed". We have single use licenses not a concurrent license server.

I am a basic level user. Can I use any DBMS types with ESRI? I did find out that to use postgres I had to have at least a standard. I am assuming across the board ESRI has entry to this functionality at the standard... more expensive level.

I have a phantom in my system that keeps popping up seemingly randomly. It only crashes ArcMap but will make it crash repeatedly . I am running 10.2.2, my graphics cards are up to date, I have tried resetting both the ArcMap template and the ESRI profile. It goes through all the start steps but on Finalizing Startup will close down the program. I have also seen it get past this screen and as soon as I pick a map from recent it will crash. When I am in Arc if I attempt to add a data frame it crash and not be able to restart for a while. I have not found any consistent fix to this. I did a factory re-install of my OS about 2 weeks ago because of this issue and some other minor things. Obviously something is still effed up. Just to be thorough I have the following things installed or configured: Arc 10.2.2 All the extensions I use a basic license that I have checked out of a license server ArcGis Server (Although I installed this after these issues started presenting themselves again) PythonWin (64bit) OSGeo4W GLmapper 15 (64bit) Garmin BaseCamp Could this have anything to do with either 64 bit python, data interoperability extension or OSGeo4W? I am losing about hour or so a day to this, it is extremely annoying.

I am trying to replace the headers of some tables I imported into a gdb. I have a table that contains two columns that define the replacement I am trying to achieve. I created a domain from that table for the gdb and than was hoping I could assign the domain to the fields but there is a problem. The target fields imported as "double" type, which I want to preserve. However, the values I want to change in the headers are text. So currently the domain does not appear as an option for any of the fields (not surprising considering the types don't match). Can anybody think of how to get this domain to work on the headers or will that never work?

Lance are there any plans to support TOP functionality or any of the SELECT modifiers (ie DISTINCT)? I think its odd that there isn't a way to access full SQL query abilities. Thanks

That was the main problem I saw with PythonWin with 10.1, the discrepency between them saying that it comes with the software and the reality that it doesn't. That made me a little worried because I witnessed what happpens when you install a Python IDE that doesn't mesh with Arc (basically it gets real messy). However, I can see on that page that it does support 2.7, so it looks like I can run with it as well. Thanks for your input as also.

Thanks for all your help. I brought it up with my co-worker and he confirmed he tried to do a 64 bit install. I just ran the 32 bit installer and everything worked out fine. Thanks for your help and the quickness of your responses.

Ok. As I have personally not done the install for that I cannot say if it was a mistake during the installation or if it was an actual software incompatiblity. Do you know if this is what I am looking for? I assume that since Desktop is not yet 64 bit that the Python they have is 32 as well?

I used to use PythonWin in 10 but apparently (at least that I have seen) there is no updated version for Python 2.7 yet (installed with 10.1). Does anyone have any recommendations that they know is supported in Desktop 10.1 / Python 2.7? My co-worker tried installing PyScripter but it failed in 10.1 as well. I am not a big fan of using the out of the box IDLE. Thanks,

When a geocoded shapefile holds a dynamic link to a table it doesn't bring any of the table's fields and the values across. When the geocoding is non-dynamic it will translate the values. I am working on a project where new values will be added frequently, so dynamic coding would be essential to the process, however, I think it would be unacceptable that none of the table values are present in the final feature class. Does anyone know a way to get all the table fields to dynamically build in the shapefile created with the Geocode Addresses geoprocessing tool?

I am working with a service created from a mosaic raster dataset that contains over two hundred images. These images vary in pixel depth, bands and sensor type. They display properly when viewed in AGX. However, when they first load a large out of focus grey square partially appears (attachment 1). This happens on any of the images I click on and remains visible as I pan around at that extent. If I zoom out a full grey square appears (attachment 2). When I get to this extent AGX starts streaming the data and the square disappears (attachment 3). Then I can zoom back in and the grey square is gone (attachment 4). There are a couple other places where I have other mosaic services that only contain about 10 images and none of these locations have this problem. Does anyone have any thoughts about why this could be happening?
