Web AppBuilder is a fantastic tool, and I use it to build many custom web apps. I have run into a problem, however, in that if I'm seeking information about Web AppBuilder and use Esri "Help" or a search engine or GeoNet, etc., about 90% of the results I get are for Web AppBuilder (Developer Edition). Many times, even if it doesn't say "Developer Edition" in the title of the search result, that's often what a search result actually pertains to. So in short, I can't just search for information/help about the NON-Developer Edition. And despite virtually the same name, the two applications are in fact VERY different, and the result is that I spend a lot of time needlessly searching (and often not finding) what I need to know about Web AppBuilder because the information I'm seeking is buried under results for Web AppBuilder (Developer Edition). It would be GREAT if Esri could change the name of one or the other of these (very different) applications. Thanks!

I have a very similar situation, and need to do some "bulk editing" of Survey123 Data in ArcMap. When I try to "Create Local Copy for Editing," though, I get an error (see picture below). I could do the edits I need to do in Excel or in ArcMap, but am not sure how to do so in either. If y'all have any ideas, I would be appreciative. Thanks, -Tom Bell

It would also be nice to have the map rotate based on the user, so that the direction that he or she is traveling is at the top of the screen.

Hi Kylie, Thank you for telling us about this. Snapping is far-and-away the #1 thing we wish for in Collector, so we don't have to spend 2 hours each day back in the office snapping.

Hi Robert, Thank you so much for such a thorough answer. Unfortunately, I can't really use code (which is why I don't use the "Developer Version" of Web AppBuilder). At the beginning of your answer, you recommended that I could "...browse for the widgets original icon in the widgets folder." That's actually what I'm trying to do, but I can't seem to find the "widgets folder," because once I customize it, then there seems to be no path back to the original set, and when sharing with groups (like we do), you can't share customized widget icons. My co-worker recommends that I just record all the specifics of each tool that I have, then delete the tool and recreate it just so that I can access a default widget icon when it's created.

I need in Web AppBuilder to change custom widget icons back to default widget icons. But I can’t figure out how to do it. When I go to change them, is opens up a dialogue to import a picture from my PC. How can I revert to the default widget icon?

Yes, we're taking pictures and videos of manholes, but most of our crew have Android devices, so our product quality is uneven, as only those manholes taken with Apple devices have the video of the manholes.

Is there a way to see a list of all map/feature services shared out from a given SQL Server geodatabase via ArcGIS Server Manager? I thought I had turned off all services so that I could add a field, but it says there is still one service active, but it won't tell me which one. Thanks!

I need to be able to fix a link between a WebMap and one of its layers. The layer was moved to a new URL. For comparison, in ArcMap, the Table of Contents for a layer with a broken link would simply have a red exclamation point and I could repair the link. But in a WebMap, the layer with the broken link is entirely absent from the Table of Contents, so I can't fix the link. If I just load the layer as a new layer from its new location, I will lose all the heavy pop-up customization that the existing WebMap layer has. Any way to repair a layer link in a WebMap? Thanks!

In WebApps or WebMaps, a user can search for a feature using the search box. When a feature is found, the webmap or webapp zooms into the feature, and brings up a pop-up box. In my experience, however, the pop-up box does not display the domain aliases, but rather only the coded values, which is Greek to the user. The user has to click-off and then re-click onto the feature in order for domain aliases to show up in the pop-up box. Which most users will not know to do. Initial search (note lack of aliases, just the underlying codes): After clicking away and re-selecting (note the domain aliases now appear): Any help would be appreciated! -Tom Bell

It is inconvenient for users who are accustomed to seeing a high-res basemap provided by a public-sector service, and then when the service goes down for maintenance or whatever, the app won't work and I get calls. The lazy response is just to use Esri imagery as a basemap, but for our clients, that means a loss of ortho resolution, which is important for determining the location of utilities. An "Alternate Basemap" is a great idea.
