Morning, Hope everyone is safe! I'm attempting to label contours, but I need to remove any value starting with 115, 125, 135 etc. But need to keep those that are 120, 130, 140 etc. Function FindLabel ([Contour]) if (cLng([Contour]) = 115) then FindLabel = "" else FindLabel = [Contour] end if End Function This expression removes those that are 115, but how do I also remove the remaining others? Any help would be appreciated. Walter

Morning, I'm wondering whether it's possible to use one of the many renderers to label a polyline? Of the renderers I've read about, you can change the line style of a polyline, but I can't seem to find whether it's possible to label a line. As well, can a renderer be used to label a polygon at it's center? Walter

Now that I am able to retrieve the max numeric value from my feature service, it seems that the geometry is not being returned, even though return geometry is set to true. Is this working as designed, or am I missing something? Walter

Afternoon, I need to query out the max(result_numeric) value from my feature service. Result_Numeric is of type (numeric(38,8) Since only where clauses can be used, I'm trying this sql statement: where requestor = 'Jack' and RESULT_NUMERIC = ( select MAX(RESULT_NUMERIC) AS MAX_RESULT from My_Feature_Service where requestor = 'Jack') Can anyone add some assistance? Thanks for your response Jayanta, I've checked the feature service table column and alias names in ArcCatalog and they're all matching like they should. As well, my .mxd field names and alias all matched. Deleted my initial feature service and recreated yet again. All is fine now. I've never seen this before, but all is well now. Thanks for your help....Walter

I create a new feature class using ArcCatalog and then add it to my .mxd as the source. At this time, all field names are the same as the alias names. But after I've published this feature service to the server, several of the field alias names get switched around. Please see attachment. Is there some standard field naming conventions that I should be following? Or is there some issue with my existing field names that I've encountered? Walter

Ted, Our SDE is in SQL Server. All of our map/feature services are in SQL, so I was attempting to use the SQL STIntersect function to use the polygon and determine which monitoring sites fell inside that polygon. I don't have my exposure to using opensource tools to accomplish these tasks. I was hoping that SQL itself had the ability to read this polygon and use it in the STIntersect function. Walter

Afternoon, Initially, my client draws a polygon around the monitoring stations that he's interested in. That polygon geometry is what I'm trying to use the points that make up this polygon and use these points for a STIntersect function. DECLARE @geom geometry set @geom = geometry::STPolyFromText('POLYGON ((-8613551.46522 5789056.62846,-8613290.62390 5789056.62846, -8613275.33651 5788811.07446,-8613626.94680 5788823.49551, -8613551.46522 5789056.62846))', 102100) select @geom The numbers above were keyed in, just to test out the logic. But these are the values that I need to read from the actual polygon itself. All the samples I've seen using the STIntersect command all have values within the parentheses, but I'm trying to read them on the fly. Or this there another method that I have overlooked? Can I not just read the polygon itself? Walter

Morning, I have a polygon geometry that I need to read the points and then be able to feed those values into a SQL STIntersect function. For example DECLARE @Geom geometry::polygon() Then how do I read(parse) the point values from the polygon? Walter

We have approx. 10 x master data sets that have been published as individual map services. Each of these services represent different data themes, but all have their own unique location identifiers. These services are being consumed via Geocortex and from this platform, we extract/use data from another database. There is a discussion going on regarding why we have not combined all ten services into one large map service, with an identifier code representing each of the ten data sets. In the past, I've only dealt with many individual map services and not one large one. Can anyone reflect on any advantages and/or disadvantages of having one map service with everything in it, rather than 10x smaller map services. Thanks...Walter

Morning, I have a parent map service that has 15x child sub map services. I'm attempting to use the "Find" function to search multiple text values for several sub map services at the same time. Could someone guide me as to how this can be accomplished? My attachment shows the "Find" dialog box, and although the values in the attached image is incorrect, there's got to be a way to do multiple "Search Text" in sub map services. Walter

I created a stand alone table and populated the table with 200,000 auto incremental numbers. From there, I used this table as a temporary table in my next script and used those number and then assigned them to be a value in my spatial view with the column name "AutoID' Walter
