I know you can call the FrameworkApplication.Close(); and FrameworkApplication.ShutdownAsync();, but is there a method to re-start Pro? When I combine one of the above methods with a call to Process.Start("C:\\Program Files\\ArcGIS\\Pro\\bin\\ArcGISPro.exe");, it requires a sign in to ArcGIS online every time.

Actually figured it out. setOnHoverListener() did the trick: mapView.setOnHoverListener(object:View.OnHoverListener {
override fun onHover(v:View, event:MotionEvent):Boolean {
val screenPoint = android.graphics.Point(
Math.round(event!!.x),
Math.round(event!!.y)
)
val mapPoint = mapView.screenToLocation(screenPoint)
when (event.getAction()) {
MotionEvent.ACTION_HOVER_ENTER -> hover_text.text ="entered the map at (x: ${mapPoint.x}, y: ${mapPoint.y})"
MotionEvent.ACTION_HOVER_MOVE -> hover_text.text = "currently hovering on (x: ${mapPoint.x}, y: ${mapPoint.y})"
MotionEvent.ACTION_HOVER_EXIT -> hover_text.text ="no longer hovering, left the map at (x: ${mapPoint.x}, y: ${mapPoint.y}))"
}
return false
}
})

Thanks! I may check into the setCapturePointerListener method to see what it does.

I use the pointermoved functionality in a .NET app and was wondering if something similar is available for Android? I have an android device that has a smart stylus and would like to handle the movements (pointer over) above the map if at all possible. I haven't done extensive research as of yet, but curious as to if anyone had some info. thanks!

Anything planned for the future for exporting/printing? To me that's one of the drawbacks of using Runtime SDK vs. ArcGIS Engine. Thanks!

The exception message is {"Invalid argument: tile info tile height must be larger than 0."} and it occurs at the bolded line below. I have very large tile packages (6 GB or so) that load fine in the previous version of ArcGIS Runtime (10.2.X) but for some reason they do not seem to work in the latest version. The issue seems to be that the tile packages do not have their tile info height and width set? The tile cache is referenced properly and does not fail when I call .LoadAsync. The failure occurs when I create a new tilelayer based on the TileCache Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks Mike! I'm using UWP so I don't think local server is an option for that. We are currently using a downloaded feature service for our offline workflow (.geodatabase). I assume that this is the geodatabase you speak of? If it's possible to create an editable offline .geodatabase on the fly without having to download that would be great as well? Basically looking for a more flexible data model where the ArcGIS Runtime app can create the needed schema on it's own. Wes

I've utilized the ShapefileFeatureTable class to load and create new features within an existing shapefile, but is it possible to create a new shapefile with user defined fields, geometry type, etc? If this functionality doesn't exist now, is it planned in the future? Thanks for any suggestions!

I would appreciate if someone could outline any printing options for an ArcGIS runtime application? I really like the ArcGIS Runtime apps, but printing would be something that would make them a little more useful in my opinion. I come from the world of ArcGIS Engine where basically anything is possible, but certainly am on board with the runtime apps, just would like to see if there are options available for printing.

I have an issue that does not arise when a the app is deployed via visual studio, only happens when the app is signed with the certificate and sideloaded via storage card or Microsoft Intune. I have some very large tile packages that have to be read from a storage card (>5 GB), and they work fine when running the app that has been deployed via visual studio, but will not load when loaded from the signed. deployed app. Any suggestions welcome!
