In a SQL database there could be many Tables and Views that are not participating in the Enterprise Geodatabase. The current Create Layers process on a Data Store creates layers for EVERY Table and View, which makes the Content list extremely cluttered. A better option would be to: Allow users to select which Tables and/or Views to Publish. ONLY publish Tables that are participating in the Geodatabase

Hello, We have an Azure Logic App that is gathering data and sending a JSON string to the addFeatures method of a Feature Layer (SQL). Everything is working perfectly, with the exception of when the values contain language special characters like: ç, ã, á, etc. In these instances the special characters are substituted with: ç,ã, á, etc I have checked all Content-Type settings and they are all set to: application/json; charset=UTF-8 I can see the properly formatted JSON being input, and have successfully tested the JSON manually on the addFeatures page of the layer, and resulting values in the table are correct. During the call the Logic App is encoding the string by pre-fixing the double quotes with '\', so it seems like the addFeatures method is not decoding properly. Below is the simplified JSON inputs to demonstrate. Input JSON (copy/pasting this manually into the addFeatures page works as expected: [ { "attributes": { "CP": 13, "Name": "Mineração", "Confidential": 0, } } ] REST call encoding: { "f": "json", "features": "[{\"attributes\":{\"CP\":13,\"Name\":\"Mineração\",\"Confidential\":0}}]", "token": "sometoken" } The resulting Name value in the SQL table is: Mineração The Name column storing this value is nvarchar, and the database collation is SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS Any suggestions on how to resolve this, or other things to check, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the confirmation/reminder Trevor. I have confirmed that a non-admin can indeed authenticate through the Portal generatetoken call.

Hi Gordon, Unfortunately no, I never did get past having to use an 'admin' level user to return a token.

Hello Shannon, thanks for the reply. Adding the attributes for a feature service is not the problem, and that functionality works great. What myself, and others in this post are asking about is bringing in the related table data/attributes in addition to the feature service attributes. Based on your response it sounds like this capability is not yet available.

I might be mistaken, but I think the OP is asking the same thing I'm trying to figure out and that is: how do I bring in a feature layer and its attributes, as well the related table(s) for this feature layer? For example, I have layer and a related table like this screen cap below. I can bring in the Sites table to Excel, but I would also like to bring in the related Projects table.

I'm struggling with getting a non Portal site admin user account to be able to generate a token? Using Postman if I generate a POST call with the username and password of the Portal Site Admin in the body to: https://<URL>/arcgis/tokens/generateToken I get a valid token back: If I do this exact same call with a different user it reports back: You are not authorized to access this information Are there specific access requirements to be able to acquire a token?

***EDIT *** Disregard, I just read the section on setting the bind type to null. Works like a charm. Does this method support publishing the survey that is using an Enterprise Geodatabase (SQL)? I have the form setup and testing correctly, but when I attempt to publish it fails indicating: Fields not found in the feature service : 2 This error would be referring to fields that do not exist in the Feature Service...

This FAQ link seems to be broken. I want to know if the FMV can overlay GIS features from a map onto the video? For example, I have drone video and I would like to overlay GIS features like property boundaries onto the video. Is this possible with FMV/Image Analyst Extenstion?

We are running into a very similar situation at the moment. We had our Enterprise running on an Azure VM with 56GB of ram. This implementation had Portal, Server, and the data stores all on one machine, and a secondary machine for an Image Server. This system ran great as configured for almost 2yrs with no issues, and the memory usage hovered around 50-60% consistently. Due to unforeseen circumstances we needed to migrate the entire system to a new VM. We built a new VM based on the exact same system specs as the previous system. Ever since we deployed this new system there is a java process that consumes 30GB of memory within minutes of starting the system and the memory consumption sits at +92-96% and never drops. Needless to say our current system is almost inoperable. Windows Defender is the only anti-virus software running and all appropriate software and system folders have been added to the Defender exception list. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Hey @JonathanQuinn , I am experiencing a similar issue right now after this restore we've completed, and when I attempt to set the Authentication tier in the server admin it errors out with: Failed to update the security configuration. Error encountered while changing the server role. Server machine 'https://<FQDN>:6443/arcgis/admin/' returned an error. 'Unauthorized access. Token not found. You can generate a token using the 'generateToken' operation.' Have you seen that before?

Current environment: 2 servers at 10.8.1, both running Windows Server 2016: 1 primary hosting server running Portal, Server and webadaptors 1 image server I've completed a WebGIS DR restore to a new machine for our primary hosting server, and now when I try to federate the second server (Image Server) it is returning and error when it validates: Error: The server at 'https://<FQDN of image server>:6443/arcgis/admin/info' returned and error. Server machine 'https://<FQDN of hosting server>:7443/arcgis/sharing/rest/community/self' returned an error. 'Invalid Token'. Any ideas where to dig into this?

Thanks for the assistance @JonathanQuinn I remapped the cache folder to the few services referencing that cloud store and was then able to remove the data store and proceed successfully with the restore.
