I am producing a series of maps displaying multidimensional raster data a vector field. However, when I try to print the map by exporting to an image file, the vector field is not printed as displayed. The regular grid of arrows (denoting current speed and direction) is truncated and compressed irregularly. The rest of the layers print accurately. The error occurs no matter what format I use for export. This error does not occur when I export the map to a low resolution file, but does occur when exporting to anything higher than 200dpi. I had been using Desktop 10.3 when this error first occurred. I updated to 10.5, cleared my temp folder and was able to export one higher resolution map before the error returned. Given these symptoms, I thought I might be running out of memory. But when looking at my diagnostics while exporting, my memory only reaches 23%, and my cpu maxes out. I have a newer computer with decent specs and a quad core. Any ideas on how I could fix this problem? Thanks, Aariel

I was using export raster. My problem has been solved. I figured out that I must leave blank the 'name of function' field in edit raster function.

I am trying to apply raster functions to a mosaic dataset and save them as geotiffs. I am able to do this from the Image Analysis window, but when I apply the filters with the geoprocessing tools within model builder the resulting export does not have the functions applied. I need to process a large number of mosaics and plan to use an iterator once I get these geoprocessing tools to work. I first was trying this in 10.2, but upgraded to 10.3 and it still does not work. Thanks for your help.

I had been stumped by the same error. Thanks for responding back with your solution (to add the .dbf extension to the table name). It is these simple solutions that make these forums so important. Please mark the problem as solved so that it is easier to find! Aariel

Found my own answer. It seems there are additional model builder only tools that you can access from within the Model window. Insert > Model Only Tools > Get Field Value. Such an easy answer! i wish it didn't take me hours and hours and hours to figure it out. I wonder why there are tools that are not accessible from the toolbox.

How do you incorporate a value from a table into a map algebra expression? My goal is to subtract the 'background temperature' from all cells in a raster. I have defined the 'background temp' as the average value of the cells in the lowest quartile of my raster. I have used 'slice' to identify which cells are in the lowest quartile, then I used 'Zonal Statistics as table' to get the average value of cells in that lowest quartile. So now, I want to pull the mean from the Zonal stats table where "Value"=1. I feel like a lookup function should be able to work for this, but it seems to be just for rasters. Is there any way to use map algebra to pull a coefficient value out of a table so that it can be called for further calculations? Thanks for any help you can provide, Aariel
