I tried to upgrade portal from 10.6. to 10.7.1. After a long time, I reached the step asking for the new portal license (json) and then continue upgrade. A half an hour later, i got an error (attached). I am also attaching the logs. Something to note, that i did not change any collation and i don't have a managed postgres DB. Please help!!

Hi Jonathan, I am experiencing the index service not available issue after storage out of space (10.7). Note that adding extra space (200GB) again did not solve the problem! May be the index is still in the read-only mode being I am unable to share or delete an item. The index status is mismatching also. I tried to edit somewhere in elasticsearch.yml but no place talking about threshold or enable read/write mode. Please advise.

I have an arcgis implementation where i want to change the public services url. This requires unfederate and refederate with the new url. I have published map services and web maps and apps up and running. What is the effect of this step? Would the arcgis services added again as items when refederate? If yes, does that mean duplicate items and i shall delete old? What happens to hosted services, will they continue to be valid? Shall i update the service urls in items using python code available from esri for this situation ( for service urls and web maps)? What about apps? In other words, what is the right and safe way toget the arcgis server services urls updated with new webadaptor host? ( like moving the server webadaptor into a new host)? My deployment is highly available. thank you

Hi Jonathan, I have a case where i moved server directories from a local to shared location using site manager (10.5.1) and that was successful. However, changing the config-store wasn't successful as the change operation kept running forever (finally i refresh the page to find that it didn't changed). Note that folders in the destination were created and are equal in size to the original folders. I tried to copy the config-store manually and editedthe connection-configstore.json file (founder under /etc) but didn't work (knowing that i tried it in a testing env and worked!). Note that my portal and server are federated and am trying to migrate them using join sites. An important thing to tell is that the connection between site1 and site2 is a vpn (10Mbps). Something else to tell is that after all megabytes are transfered (config-store), a new file kept generating on the orginal folder with ETAG extension on all folders. I imagined that the reason for the endless transfer is a result of these ETAGs that are kep generating and therefore the need to syn with dest may be. Please Hellllllpppppp

Hi jonathan, u r saying there is no way to update the services url in a federated portal. Like if you relocate the web adaptor for the services to a new server, you will not be able to tell portal about that new location without unfederate and refederate, no? If that is the case what is the and best option to reflect a web adaptor change for arcgis server? Can’t this be edited from admin or portal directory and then use the python update service and webmap urls to reflect the new services url? Something else, can we change the url for the item using python update service url everytime we publish a service to portal? What is the effect of having items service urls updated while the services url for the portal to server federation is kept pointing to undesired location? Would that be considered a workaround? If yes, any impact other than repeating the update on every service published? willing to hear from you for this critical situation. thanks

Greetings, I am facing an issue in arcgis enterprise 10.5.1 where i loose the portal imported certificate everytime I restart the machine. I imported self-signed ssl certificate into portal (using portaladmin directory) successfully. After then I restart the portal server, the certificate is lost and the portal certificate reverts back to default portal certificate "portal". I noticed that the keystore named "portal.ks" located at "C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Portal\etc\ssl" is replaced at every restart. Note that my windows is 2016 and i portal is configured in HA mode. This also happens in single mode (not HA) I attached for the case below to show how the dates change for the portal.ks after restart and which means that it gets updated. Please help!!!!!

Dear Jonathan, Throughout this thread, you asked Richelle the following: "In the error message Could not connect to the ArcGIS Server on machine '[Internal machine address], is the '[Internal machine address]' your Portal machine name?" In my case, i am getting the above message where my internal machine address is the portal machine which is strange! Note that i got this error whenever trying to validate the federation between portal and server. I also got a java.net error connection timeout. Also note that all my highly available system was working fine using Microsoft NLBs until we migrated to F5 (same VIP names, no reverse proxy rules, valid SSL certificates..).
