Hello, We just upgraded from 3.0 to 3.1.2 last week and started having this same issue; exporting layouts taking way longer than they should. After a few days of testing various strategies, we decided to create a brand-new Pro project and voila, any layout file will export in mere seconds like it used to. While Python seems to be a solution for many, this appears to be a version compatibility issue since the .aprx files were created in a prior version of Pro. This seems to align with all the reported problems in this post because nearly everyone says they just updated from version 2.x or 3.x, or patched, and started having issues exporting a layout. Doesn't look to me like the file is being successfully upgraded to the latest version when it is saved for the first time. That, or some other bug is affecting the export process. Thoughts, Esri? Thanks, Aaron

Ok, I see. The problem is that on our legacy site, the URL that displays on the main screen in Site Manager is the full URL that I get when I open the Site Configuration and look under Domains. In the new 2.1 version of the site it is not showing the full URL (which is jocogov-AIMS.opendata.arcgis.com and does seem to work). That is why when I click on the link in the screenshot above it does not launch our site like it used to. That is what is causing my confusion. Is that a setting I can change?

Is this something Esri changed recently? I'm pretty sure our version 1.10 site worked just fine without us having to configure the CNAME.

I assume so, I copied the URL directly out of our Site Manager (see screenshot)

Hi Daniel - I am the administrator for our organization. I've been working with one of our web developers to build our open data site over the last couple of months. I see that our site no longer shows up as one of our "legacy sites" in our Site Manager so I take it that means it was automatically upgraded. However, we are still not able to open our site in a web browser, regardless of it being shared publicly or privately. Our site is http://aims.opendata.com/. Is there something you can "update" to make our site accessible?

We also are having this same issue. The site manager warns us to upgrade to version 2.1 but we do not see this option anywhere. Please help!

Hello all, I wanted to provide a quick update for those of you interested in using Schematics for bus route maps. After much help from Rick and several rounds of testing we were finally able to get the extension to work in the way we had hoped. The result for us is 12 bus routes that now have offsets applied in only the places where multiple routes overlap. By using the output from a multi-route solver to generate our diagram we were able to fix many of the issues encountered early on. I've attached a small portion of our final system map if you would like to see what the resulting product looks like. The big thing to note here is that our new system map was generated without the use of other graphics software. If anyone is exploring this option (Schematics) and would like to know more about our trials and tribulations, just let me know. Thanks, Aaron

Rick, I'm using version 10.2. I'd be glad to share a file geodatabase with you but I'd rather not have it posted for all to see. Shall I send you a private message? Thanks, Aaron

Rick, I??m experiencing a similar issue when trying to generate offsets for our transit lines using the Schematics extension. I feel as though I??ve tested everything under the sun but I still can??t get it to produce the offsets like expected. I tried using the route solver as you suggest above but nothing ever happened when I tried to run the ??Geo-Partial Overlapping Links? algorithm. I did finally get it to do something when I exported those routes to a feature class and added them to a geometric network inside of a feature dataset. It altered the geometry but not in the way desired (see before and after attachments). I also checked my map units and they appear to be in feet not decimal degrees. I??ve watched several of the training videos and read through quite a bit of the help documentation and now I??m just feeling stuck. I??ve also tried recreating the templates using both the Standard Builder and Network Dataset Builder and I can??t get the algorithm to run on my schematic diagram. Anything you can think of that I might be missing? Thanks, Aaron

Han, What type of layer is it that you are trying to add? Layers you can add are map, image, and feature service layers; KML documents; and OGC web services. Other ??layers? that are actually items like a PDF, web map or an application will not show up. Check out the help documentation below for more information on the types of layers you can search for and add. http://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/create-maps/add-layers.htm Hope that helps.

What about having the ability to undo an edit saved in a previous session by another user in the same version? I have an instance where an edit was inadvertently saved and I need to revert back to the original feature. Because this edit was saved in another session and no edits were made to the default version it will not be classified as a conflict. I know this can be done in one of two ways, either manually edit the A & D tables (not recommended) or get rid of the version and create a new one (not ideal). I know there are ways to visualize changes like this and compare versions but are there really no options to simply undo a mistake? Thanks!

Here we are, a year later and ESRI has made the decision to retire Explorer Online for good. While it is still possible to view maps in EO (at least for the next couple of months) I'm not happy about this decision. The one reason we prefer using EO is the capability to query your map service. I was under the impression this feature would be added to the basic ArcGIS.com map viewer before EO was retired. I've even tried several of the configurable application templates and none of them seem to offer this capability out of the box. Any idea if this is ever going to happen?

Hello, I am posting this here because all of the other posts I found about this topic pointed to this feed. I am running into a similar issue at 10.2 but the web service I'm using is being hosted on another server. Is there another work around that will allow me to print the symbology since I can't change the server settings for their service? Thanks, Aaron

Andrew, Thanks! That does help. Based on your responses I have some new questions though. 1. Every time I was successful in adding the secured layer to ArcGIS Online it still wouldn't take the username and password I use to access our secure server. Is that the username and password I'm supposed to be using? I tried adding the URL with and without the token and I'm still not seeing the behaviour I would expect. Is there something I'm missing? 2. I understand that Explorer Online does not currently support using secured services. I found a post titled Usage of secure services for ArcGIS.com and Explorer Online on ideas.arcgis.com but the last post was in October of 2011. It also says that it is currently under consideration. Do you know if or when this functionality might be provided? I would hope with the release of 10.1. I guess if the ArcGIS.com map viewer had the query functionality then I wouldn't need to use Explorer Online. 3. This is more of a suggestion than a question but having the ability to refresh a service stored in the "cloud" on a daily basis like we can on a local web server would make using the subscription service much more attractive. I think a lot of people would like the ability to set up a recurring publishing task without having to go in and manually run the process every day. Thanks again for your help.
