You can start the Edit Tool like this
public void CurrentTool(IApplication app)
{
ICommandBars documentBars = app.Document.CommandBars;
UID cmdID = new UIDClass();
cmdID.Value = "{9EBF3A1E-D0C0-11D0-802D-0000F8037368}";
ICommandItem cmdItem = documentBars.Find(cmdID, false, false);
app.CurrentTool = cmdItem;
}

i have big map in geographic coordinates (WGS84) . when the user click on the map, i want to convert the point coordinates(where the user clicked) from geographic to projected (utm). see this line: IProjectedCoordinateSystem pcs = srFactory.CreateProjectedCoordinateSystem((int)esriSRProjCSType.esriSRProjCS_NAD1983N_AmericaLambert); my problem is that i dont know to which utm zone i should put. because the map contain many utm zones (around 24 zones) so how i can project the coordinates when i dont know the exact zone ? thank you

Just to elaborate on Offermann's post a little further. The SDK is included in your copy of ArcGIS. It's part of the add-ons that won't install unless you specify. So simply pop in your disc of ArcGIS 9+ and select the option to install the .NET SDK. Should only take a few minutes. Best of luck! thank you very much
