Hi, Our organisation's Esri Open Data site is harvested by our National Open Data portal (built using CKAN) via the data.json endpoint. When users then try to access data (in a variety of formats including GeoJSON, shapefile in zip file etc) for the 1 st time via the national OD portal (either preview or physical download of the data) the following error message appears: {"processing_time":"0 seconds","count":0,"generating":{},"status":"Processing"} When the user then attempts to access the same data a 2 nd time the file will successfully preview / download and will work for all subsequent users. We have experienced similar download issues directly within our own Esri Open Data site (http://osni.spatial-ni.opendata.arcgis.com/) as well as via the national CKAN portal. Is there a way to ensure the physical files (.shp, KML, GeoJSON etc) are generated on the server side ready for access to prevent this issue when the 1 st user request is made & fails? Thanks

Hi!, Still having the same problem. The size of my original data is around 300mb. When I publish the service the service parameters say that the maximum image size per request (rows x columns) is 4100 x 15000. When I go to Image Service properties the Columns and Rows say 4334831,5232517. I thought then I could change the image size request to this but it seems 4100 x 15000 is already the maximum. The service looks fine in the map viewer on ArcGIS online but when shared as Open Data and then downloaded on the site as a JPEG it looks like And the download is only 900kb - not 300mb The link to the service is OpenData/OSNIOpenData_StreetMapsRaster (ImageServer) any more help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Daniel, Thanks for your answer! How do you mean via the service itself? What I've done is create the mosaic dataset and then shared as image service directly from that. Do you think I'm better to create a map document and share it from that? I'll definitely try increasing the maximum size per image and see how I get on! Thanks!

Hi, I have setup an ArcGIS Open Data Portal and published a number of datasets to the site, the data.json endpoint is not displaying any of the published datasets available on the site (see below) {"@context":"https://project-open-data.cio.gov/v1.1/schema/catalog.jsonld","@type":"dcat:Catalog","conformsTo":"https://project-open-data.cio.gov/v1.1/schema","describedBy":"https://project-open-data.cio.gov/v1.1/schema/catalog.json","dataset":[]} Is there a way to enforce this endpoint to update or does this file update automatically over a set time period? Thanks

We want to push a raster basemap out through the open data portal. I've published it as an image service then referenced it on ArcGIS Online and shared it with our Open Data folder. The site does recognise it and allows for it to be downloaded in JPEG, TIFF, PNG but when I open it it's only an image with very large pixels. Does anybody know if there is a size limit to what you can push out as imagery or is there a setting I have to use when publishing something to make the size able to be downloaded? Hope someone can help! Many thanks, Anna

Hi Robert, Thanks so much for your work in creating the enhanced widgets it's really helping us move our organisations apps to Javascript without major pain! First time poster here hoping you or someone will be able to help me.. Seems like a minor issue but I'm using the eSearch widget on a layer that I have defined labels for but the labels don't carry through to appear in the map after my query. Previously for flex I would have used the MapServer layer but for this eSearch you need to define the layer you're querying. I've tried using a dynamic layer and then defining labels in a webmap and saving it as a feature layer on AGOL, and when I take this layer and add it to another webmap the labels appear no worries, but when I use it in the enhanced query no luck with the labels? Any thoughts anyone? I'd really appreciate any help! Anna

Hi, I wonder would anyone have an idea for this. We have large data sets containing multiple shp and text files that create a single data set i.e. the individual items make no sense on their own. I wanted to add these to our open data page but as a single download. I was trying to add it as a zip file to AGOL and then share the zip but when I did that the open data page picks up the individual layers and puts them out individually. I know you can't share FGDB with open data, so does anyone know of a good way I could put this up as a single dataset? Many thanks!

Thanks, I think that's probably what we'll have to do then. I think if we unclick the option for homepage map in the setup and then edit the HTML to add a new box for a photo hopefully that'll work. Thanks for answering!

Hi, I am creating the open data portal for our organisation but on the home page we would like to use a static image rather than a map. Similar to how the ESRI open data home page looks http://opendata.arcgis.com/ . I know you can choose to edit the code when you're building your portal but I can't see the place where you would change this map to a static image. Does anyone know if this is possible?@ Thanks!
