The solution was to share the map as a service to my organization through ArcMap rather than zipping the file geodatabase and uploading it back onto AGOL. I was using zip files based on this documentation. However, if you follow these instructions for hosting a feature layer from an arcmap document, it will keep the domains intact. This documentation for ArcGIS Collector (which I'm not using for this project) also outlines the same instructions. Even though it's assumed people using Crowdsource Reporter have experience working with AGOL, it might be useful to update the instructions (found here) with items like "How to create a dropdown list" instead of only saying "Use coded value domains to have drop-down menus" with no more mention of drop-down menus after that. Sharing an arcmap document versus uploading a zipped file gdb are somewhat nuanced differences that aren't very intuitive to users new to hosting data on AGOL. The solution to this question was found on StackExchange: link.

There is, in fact, a page by AGOL forLocal Government regarding GIS groups from an administrator's standpoint. Should be a decent starting point. http://solutions.arcgis.com/local-government/help/arcgis-online-for-local-government/get-started/configure-central-gis-groups/

I have been trying to upload several layers which include domains on certain fields so that I can use drop down menus on my Crowdsource Reporter app. However, upon uploading and getting them to work with my Crowdsource Reporter app, the drop down does not appear. I went into the definition of my hosted layer and saw that the field domains have been assigned as "null". Here are some photos pointing out my problem. Snapshots of the Field Properties page to prove they've been assigned the domains: And of the Domain Properties to prove they've been assigned to domains that exist:

I am trying to develop an application to collect data regarding natural areas that don't have an address tied to them. My first efforts have been funneled into the Crowdsource Reporter template. I've got an extremely rough version of it working, however there is a problem regarding the Location section of the Form Submission: As far as I can tell, my only option is to input an address or draw it on a map. I was hoping I could enable location tracking so that a user can just hit "Find me" and have it zoom to their current location. The way it's set up, a user has to know which town they are nearest, then do a best guess of where they are in relation to that. I'm going to need data that is much more precise. Hopefully I'm just missing something in the configuration! edit: Allison Muise Figure I'd tag you since this question hasn't been getting any attention and I've seen your other super helpful posts in other questions regarding CS Reporter. edit2: I've gotten the geolocation button to show up on Internet Explorer and Safari, but still no luck on Google Chrome (both desktop & Android). The button on IE returns a message that says: "Current location not available." Safari seems to be the only working browser for me. What exactly controls whether or not the geolocation button shows up and what triggers the "not available" error?
