You can add this to a graphics layer by converting it into a AGSGraphic object. Something like below code will help for that: [self.graphicsLayer addGraphic:[AGSGraphic graphicWithGeometry: [self circleWithCenter:point radius:10.0f] symbol:[AGSSimpleLineSymbol simpleLineSymbol] attributes:nil]];

I have the same issue. Anyone got any sample code for the work around? How do I get the AGSGeometry from point and zoom scale?

Is there any official forum where I can request for help from ESRI developers? I would like to get an answer for this in order to know if it is possible or not.

I am trying to set background color property for an AGSTextSymbol as follows. But in the map the background color is not appearing at all and it acts as if the background color is not set. Please guide me how I can achieve this. The color property and borderLineColor properties are working fine though. I have attached the image showing what I would like to achieve. AGSTextSymbol *ts = [[AGSTextSymbol alloc] initWithText:@"Me" color:[UIColor whiteColor]]; ts.backgroundColor = [UIColor blueColor];

Thanks for the answer. I will try it out. Feels like a work around since we can draw polyline and polygon without using dynamic layer. Ability to subclass AGSGeometry and modify CGPath property would have been perfect.

Thanks for the reply. When can we expect the next release with this feature? Flattening is not an option for us as the business requirement is to have an arc drawn and polyline is not helping.

In my project I have a requirement to draw some arc shapes on maps as overlay. I tried with "AGSPolyline" but it draws only straight lines connecting to points. I was able to do this feature in MapKit by subclassing "MKOverlayPathRenderer" and by overriding "createPath". I would like to do the same but looks like there is no path property available on AGSGeometry. Please let me know how I can achieve this using ESRI iOS map.

How do I add an arc over the map? I want to add something like a quad curve over the map connecting two points but I am not sure which method should be overridden after subclassing AGSPolyline or AGSGeometry. In mapkit, I can override "createPath:" method in MKOverlayPathRenderer subclass for this. Is there something similar here?

Can we have this as a feature to AGSMapView? MapKit framework has scrollEnabled property to do this. A similar property can be added to AGSMapView so that scroll and pan can be disabled and user can still tap on Graphics on the screen. I am sure this would be a common use case when people are doing free hand drawing/geo fence on maps. Regards, Akhil
