GeoEvent Extension Manager should introduce settings to configure recycling or something similar function that ArcGIS for Server has. Currently, the number of incoming GeoEvents is nothing but increasing, and there is no way to reflesh GeoEvent services without restarting manually those GeoEvent items (inputs, outputs, geoevent services or even GeoEvent Extension service itself). Over long periods of time, resources with memory leaks could affect server throughput. Considering the fact that GeoEvent Extension continuously juggles real-time processing, system needs to keep those services fresh, and this recycling function will be critical.

Hi! I am currently testing in GEP 10.2.1 of how to use "Twitter for GeoEvent Processor tutorial" uploaded latest 2014/3/19 version from GeoEvent Processor Galleries at: http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=041138094e5348eb902f4b71175eeb6f I have no problem about receiving Tweets, but I am not able to send any tweets. However, it works without any problem if I use/install "twitter-for-geoevent" (2014/1/31 version?) from GitHub at: https://github.com/Esri/twitter-for-geoevent I can send tweets with this file. Is there any difference between those two, Gallery one and Github one? If so, will gallery one be updated soon? Thank you, Hiro

As you can see the picture attached, it's hard to distinguish first between the icons for ArcGIS for Server Manager and GeoEvent Processor Manager especially using Windows Server 2012 or recent windows OS system All Apps View because both say just "Manager." It causes the confusion for users which is AGS/GEP. It would be better to change the name(s) of the icon(s), such as Server Manager and GeoEvent Manager, to easily recognize them.

Hello Hiro, You can find more information about the Track Gap Detector Processor and a description of it's properties on the GeoEvent Processor resource page at the below link. http://pro.arcgis.com/en/share/geoevent-processor/process-event-data/processors.htm Greg Greg, Thanks for your guidance. Now it's clear how to use this. -Hiro

Could I get more detail info about the new processing feature, Track Gap Detector, at 10.2.1? A 10.2.1 help document does not describe how to set the parameters or what those mean. Here are my questions. What is the difference between [Gap Duration] and [Gap Detection Interval]? What is the difference between "Continuous" and "OnChange" for [Gap Notification Mode]? I think it would be useful if the section "Processors" (help document) includes those explanations. Thanks, Hiro

At 10.2.1, you need to work on each element, i.e. input/output connector box, at GeoEvent Processor Manager separately to modify its shape. In other words, there is no easy way to unify those box shapes at 10.2.1 if you have lots of them. You can move them at the same time, but not change the shape. Prior to 10.2 at a Service Designer, you can modify the shape by capturing all your target elements at once with a selection rectangle around all of them. This function is no longer available at 10.2.1. I'll be appreciated if this feature gets back at near future update in terms of realizing user-friendly interface.

Hello everyone, I'm currently using 10.2.1 trying to retrieve the data from the sample server above by using a ??Subscribe to an external Web Socket for JSON?? Input. However, once I set the value (ws://geoeventsample1.esri.com:8080/exactearthservice) and save this setting, the status of the inputs on Manager says "ERROR - Connection refused: no further information." and I get nothing. Has anyone succeeded in receiving any data? (Or this sample server no longer works?) Thanks, Hiro
