Hi @shamsalden, what you downloaded is just the source code. You will have to compile it into an ArcGIS Pro Add-In using Visual Studio. The readme contains steps on how to compile. https://github.com/Esri/utility-network-properties-extractor#compilation-directions

This is a must-have feature for Monitor 2023. Currently, email notifications are not useful at all. Why do you have to click a link to see the alert? The email notifications at 10.8.1 were so much better, they told you at a glance, exactly what was the alert all about.

Hi @ReeseFacendini here's what I found. 1. Login with Site credential, only one collection is clickable 2. Create a new user with admin permissions in both collections, still the collection on top is not clickable 3. Create a new user with admin permissions in just the one collection, it is now browsable! as you only see that one collection that the user has access to.

I have two collections (with separate monitor service each) and they both are working fine and I am receving email notifications on alerts. However, when I try to see system counters in server application, I am able to click and interact with only one collection. The other collection is simply non-clickable. I thought maybe this is a browser issue, so I switched from chrome to firefox and still the same issue. I am able to browse the system counters and view charts of system counters only for one of the two collections. Any idea what's causing this? I have also attached a small video clip (gif) to show what I am experiencing.

Hi @Scott_Tansley , I tried with domain admin running the installer and also made the service account a domain admin, just to rule out any permissions related issue but still no luck. Then we used Microsoft network monitor v3.4 to sniff what's going on at the exact moment when we click next after we type in domain account name and credentials in the installer. That's where we found that there some DNS queries that were returning errors and name resolution was not working as expected. The hostname suffix was still using the AWS pattern, i.e., hostname.us-east-2.ec2-utilities.amazonaws.com instead of hostname.domain.com. Once we fixed that, we were able to run the installer normally! This is how we were able to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. It was a DNS issue. Thank you so much for your response. best wishes Anand

Josh, apologies as it took me a while to respond and thank you for your suggestion! I was hoping that we should be able to do this by the ArcGIS Python API, but sadly it looks like it doesn't support it yet. So yes, for the time being it looks like we will have go with writing our own custom code, and you example is very helpful. Thank you so much! regards Anand

Hi Josh, Yes, in AGOL there is a certain spot where we can see credits consumed by the application. Here is a screenshot of the place where I typically see the credits for each application. But I am unable to locate how to get this using Python API.

I have an application created for the purposes of doing geocoding operations. The client-id of this registered application is used by an external application which does the geocoding. It is a server-side script and not used for logins, but only for geocoding. I am able to see the credit usage in ArcGIS Online for this application. However, I'd like to query and get the same through the ArcGIS API for Python. I have tried gis.item.usage(date_range='7D', as_df=True), but it returns an empty dataframe, whereas I can see credit usage in ArcGIS Online for the same period. Is it supported in ArcGIS API for Python or does it currently support usage reporting only on views and logins? thanks, Anand

Our systems are going through a domain change as part of a structuring exercise. As a result, our three machine deployment of ArcGIS Enterprise will be moved to another windows domain. The machines will be moving from hostname.domain.us to hostname.domain.it domain. Is it possible to reconfigure ArcGIS Enterprise after this domain name change and ensure it keeps functioning without issues? Here are a few steps that come to mind to go through this process: Change service account for Portal, Server and DataStore VMs (currently uses domain account) Run the configureserviceaccount utility on all three VMs to update to new domain account Update SSL certificate in IIS (wildcard certificate is procured) Update SSL certificates in Portal + Server + DataStore Reconfigure webadaptor of Portal Reconfigure webadaptor of Server Validate all registered data stores in ArcGIS Server Manager Re-register the data stores in ArcGIS Server Manager as required Any help, suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thank you

Hi AbdAhmad No, it is not a must to have ArcGIS Server and Enterprise GDB to be installed on the same machine. They are typically always installed on different machines for performance reasons.

Thank you David! My original intent of the question was to understand if using DynamoDB is a 'must have' or a 'nice to have'. It looks like it is 'recommended' for the config-store due to its obvious benefits of faster read-writes as compared to FSx. Also these cloud native stores are only available in the cloud. When it comes to on-premises deployments we have no other option than a simple fileshare for storing everything.

When deploying multi machine AGS sites in AWS, why do we use DynamoDB for the server config store instead of a simple fileshare? Is it only because DynamoDB is highly available by design as compared a fileshare? or is it because ArcGIS Server requires the millisecond latency and high throughput that DynamoDB provides? Is the configuration store accessed that frequently by AGS? The storage space requirements are quite small for a config store anyway. If we use Amazon FSx for the fileshare, do we still need DynamoDB just for the config-store? We could use FSx for storing everything including portal content, config store, server directories etc., as FSx too is highly available by design.

Just to be sure, when you say python, do you want to access portal resources like items/content or you want to query a feature service using a federated identity or probably both? What happens when you try try creating a portal/server token using the federated identity?
