Hi, I am trying to change the basemap of a WebMap portal item using the ArcGIS API for Python (1.9.1 version). It is indicated in this link arcgis.mapping.WebMap.basemap that we should use basemap property to set new basemap using Item object. Upon setting a portal item as basemap using basemap property of WebMap object, I'm getting this error. Here is my code where bm_item is an Item object. Is this an issue with the API version? Thank you!

Hi, I'm working with the Python API wherein I update a polygon hosted feature layer. I get the data from a local file geodatabase and iterate the featureclass inside that geodatabase. I'm using the SpatialDataframe module and use from_featureclass() method to do this. However, when I try to edit the features (I truncates first the hosted layer) by passing the array of features, all curves get converted to line segments? Is there a way on how I can preserve the curves of my features? Upon checking the coordinates, both were projected in web mercator. Thanks. This is my features as seen on my desktop. This is the result when I'm done with editing. Thank you!

This works fine now. I just reprojecting the coordinates I'm getting from geocoding addresses. Geocoding returns coords value in 4326 so I just convert those values to 3857 in my code. Thank you Egge-Jan Pollé for the idea. from arcgis import geometry
def reproject_coords(coords):
input_geom = [{'x': coords[0], 'y': coords[1]}]
result = geometry.project(geometries=input_geom, in_sr=4326, out_sr=3857)
return [result[0]['x'], result[0]['y']]

Hi Egge-Jan Pollé, Thank you for your reply. I checked the spatial_reference of my featureset and saw that the CRS is in {'wkid': 4326}. So I explicitly changed the CRS by overriding the spatial_reference property of my FeatureSet to {'wkid': 102100, 'latestWkid': 3857}. However, my points are still displayed in the wrong locations. I am looking into this module (arcgis.features module — arcgis 1.8.0 documentation ) and trying to look for a function that can convert the spatial reference of my input featureset, but spatial_reference is the only available one from the list. I tried including the datum_transformation when I'm calling the edit_features() but getting this error instead. Checking the module show me this in the layer.py ` Checking the from_geojson method in feature.py show me this. Is there an available method/function that will transform my featureset to the 3857?

Hi, I'm loading data from a GeoJSON object in python. I'm sure I am properly assigning my point coordinates in "geometry" key like this: and creating a featureSet from the cases dict (GeoJSON) and load it to my hosted feature layer in AGOL. But in my AGOL's map viewer, all points are concentrated in [0,0] coordinates. Checking the service URL, whenever I query the features and return them in HTML or in JSON format, it shows the correct (x,y) geometry. But when I return them in geojson, it shows wrong (x,y) values. Any idea how this is even possible? Thank you! JSON: HTML: GeoJSON:

Hi Undral, with another layer, you mean a duplicate of my geojsonLayer with filter expression? Or a graphicsLayer? It will show in my layerlist though.

Hi, I'm working with 4.14 version of JavaScript API, but apparently, LabelClass is not working as expected. I have a widget that filters out features from a layer based on its status. In the illustration, I have overlapping points. Filtering works. However, labels for filtered features are not showing. This is how I filter: This is my labelClass: This is how I set the labelingInfo: This is the result: I hope someone can help me with this. Thank you.

See that the point clustering was just implemented at the 4.14 release. Since I'm working with react, the esri-loader version I have can't load the 4.14 API, thus, defaulting to 4.13 version. I updated my esri-loader in this case by doing npm install --save esri-loader. Works now correctly.

Hello, We are working with the Nighttime Flow Analysis | ArcGIS Solutions for Water. It has a step-by-step procedure wherein you have to run certain models. However, we can't run successfully the step 2, which is the loading of SubDMAs to the Feature Service already published in the Portal. Please note that we are working on with an environment that uses a proxy and it requires authentication. In that case, I've already setup an environment variables `HTTP_PROXY` and `HTTPS_PROXY` with value of `https://username:p%40ssword@proxyIP:proxyPort` (assuming that the %40 is the @ value). Upon running the script it still not work and still throwing a 407 Proxy Authentication Required (error please see attached photo). We understand that the python script uses the ArcRestHelper. We tried downloading the latest version and overrides the arcrest included in the solution. In the script, you will see assignment of certain variables that needed in order to run the code. proxy_port = None

I tried configuring the HSTS in my IIS as instructed in this site Configure HSTS on IIS 7/8 . Added the header in the ./arcgis site in the IIS still not working. I still have the "Can't connect securely to his page" in IE and "This site can't be reached" in Chrome. I've checked the Advanced Options of the IE, Use TLS options are checked so does the Use SSL options, note that I tried unchecking the Use SSL to see if it'll have any difference. I ran a network diagnostics in Chrome; throw a warning that "The device or resource is not set up to accept connections on port '7443'". Check if 7443 is open, it is as I explicitly declared it in my Windows Firewall Inbound rules to allow 7443. Still didn't worked. My last resort is to reformat my machine and see if it will have any difference.

Hello, I tried reinstalling my ArcGIS Portal 10.6, however, after the installation and software authorization I was redirected to the expected URL (https://domain:7443/arcgis/home) with a warning saying "Can't connect securely to this page". I am using Edge browser and upon checking also in the other browsers, it's the same. I can't open my Portal. I've checked the ../arcgis site in my IIS and 443 is open. I installed webadaptor beforehand to configure my ArcGIS REST Directory and it worked successfully. I was able to access my REST using https protocol. Since I had a Portal before, I just allow the replacement of the old setup files related to the installation instead of skipping it. I also tried installing and reinstalling for the third time but no luck. Hopefully someone can help me for this. Thank you!

I tagged the question to JavaScript space since I'm customizing from a downloaded web appbuilder item. Yep, I already checked the properties from the web appbuilder and indeed, there's no option for enabling layers and its sublayers in the Layer List. In anyway, the only solution I made was to add slider in each layers (not sublayers) and setOpacity on its onChange event.

Hi Jacob, Thank you! Just checked the API Reference for LayerList. Yep there is indeed a property for enabling opacity slider, however, I'm trying to twitch the behind codes of the LayerList widget from Web AppBuilder and apparently LayerList class was never used in the project. LayerListView was user but not LayerList. Do you have any idea or suggestion if I can still use this propert of LayerList. Thank you!
