Why is it that you can't correct GPS data using more than one CORS base stations? It is common practice, especially for surveyors, to post process using multiple (typically 3) base stations to get better accuracy.

I have been creating maps on ArcGIS Online and having crashing problems and features don't show up on the map and a laundry list of other issues. I search in other forums and see that others have generally the same type of issues when creating from ArcGIS Online. ESRI reps have been recommending to use Explorer which seemed to solve many of the problems people are having including myself. So what's the point of ArcGIS Online since everything can be done better in Explorer? and why is ArcGIS Online having that many issues?

I'm having the same exact problem...My iPad shuts down the app once I attempt to open the map though it opens in ArcGIS Online on my desktop. Another problem with another map is that I can actually open it on the iPad but the features don't show up for a long time. It's not my cellular network issue because I open my organization map and it opens all the features instantly. My organization pushes the data through a server versus ESRI cloud. Is the problem with the cloud itself? Overwhelmed Maybe?

@jonathan, do you know if this affects ArcGIS online and whether each person in an organization would need a windows account to access maps created for ArcGIS Online access using mobile applications as well?

I received a message from ESRI regarding changes to the access to Bing Base Maps on ArcGIS products. It states that a key must be obtained from Microsoft to be entered into each ArcGIS product. Does this apply to ArcGIS Online as well? Do we need to have each member of the organization obtain a key from microsoft and input into ArcGIS Online on each computer and each mobile device as well?

Not an expert in MS Access but I work primirily in ArcCatalog which creates a database that can also be opened in Access. When the crew gets back from the field, I do a data load from their laptops into my geodatabase. If I close ArcCatalog, I can open that same geodatabase in Access and view all the fields as if it was created in Access. Not sure if that helps or that's what you're looking for...

If you have an ArcEditor license it is a very simple process. We have two types of files in our database: 1. Old database information from record drawings and old surveys 2. new data collected on our assets using GPS. As mentioned previously, the find identical tool works great to isolate the identical assets and converet the attributes between the two datasets. We created a third layer called Asset inventory which contains the precise location and accurate attribute information of each asset. You can then take that one layer and send it to whoever is updating the website. This is very general information. if you need specifics please let me know.

I am working on an asset management project where we have features already loaded on ArcPad with blank attribute information and then the field crew will select the feature to be edited and add the attribute information. The attribute information includes recording measurements and times. Example: We have a Valve, Air Vent, and Leak Detector in one area. The Air Vent attributes include venting time in min:sec. Venting could take up to 10-15 minutes. In the meantime we would like to be editing another feature (e.g. Leak Detector) and fill out its attributes while waiting for the Air Vent to finish venting. As mentioned previously, this is not on a GPS unit. This will be done on ArcPad 10 for Windows directly on the laptop. Thanks for your help. I figured there would be scripting invloved.

Is there any way I can edit more than one feature in the same layer at the same time? Also, is there any way I can edit more than one layer at the same time? I'm using "ArcPad 10 for Windows" on a laptop in the field so I have the room on my screen to open more than one feature but I can't select more than one layer in the Table of Contents to be edited. Thanks

I set up a 4 different forms on ArcPad Studio 10 R2 (Build 30). Three of them are working great. The last one has a problem with positioning the date value box. When I go back to the Control Properties and fix the position to line up with the other value boxes it looks fine until I click OK and go back to the propoerties again and see that it shifted slightly but obvious enough that it is not lined up with the rest of the boxes in the column. The problem still occurs when I open the form in ArcPad 10 for Windows. It's only a formatting problem but the form looks unprofessional. Any ideas why that may be happening?
