I'm wondering if anyone knows the REST URL for the ESRI World Locator Service? It can be selected in Arc Desktop and can be selected in ArcGIS Online, but what is the actual URL? I'm trying to plug it in to a third party software (Lucity) to test it against our own address locator.

I'd like to have a tool as robust as ArcDesktop's "Find" running with ArcGIS Online and Portal. More specifically, I need the ability to search all attributes of either <all layers> or <all visible> just like in the Find tool. I've found a way to enhance the standard search within Portal through this article, however, its still very limited in what you can do with it. Does anyone know of a third party widget or full blown app that can be used, or perhaps a way to enhance the Online or Portal engine without the need for a 3rd party product?

I, too, am looking for feedback on this product. We're investigating the integration plugin currently. I'll let you know what I find out and if we end up going with it. I have yet to find any other tool to compete.

As I admire my own abilities to resurrect dead threads, I'd like to find out what, if any, solutions you each found. I am also representing a city which uses ESRI products, as well as, Laserfiche and the only option I've found is GeoDocs but I'm not convinced its as great as it looks. The software is a third party integration and consumes a Laserfiche user license, plus it only integrates with ArcGIS Online according to the website. Any one have experience with it?

So its an all or nothing situation? Is there a way around this? A method of organization outside of datasets?

Thank you for the quick response, Vikram S. But just to be clear, removing "editing" from a dataset will still allow them to edit features within that dataset, just not "edit" the dataset itself by adding new features?

I have an enterprise GIS environment running MS SQL and not the typical SDE environment. I have several people who have edit rights to a handful of datasets within the enterprise database, but I'd like to prevent them from added feature classes to the datasets. Is this possible through ArcGIS or do I need to figure out a way to do it in the MS SQL permissions?
