Robert, Yes, after I set it to HTTP and it didn’t work I set it back to mixed mode so I could keep my baseline set. With this configuration I can see services outside of our network, just not in the app I am trying to build. Once I figure out the exact steps I need to take I will make the switch again. Robert, There is something else going on here that I am just not understanding. I think I need to take a step back and do some additional homework. Thanks for all of your help.

Switched it over to just HTTP and am still having the same problem. Page loads but my local services do not.

Ok Robert, fair enough. Just to recap and to make sure I understand, you believe the probblem of my service not displaying is because my ArcGIS Server protocol is set to mixed HTTP and HTTPS, correct? Switching it to, say, just HTTP or just HTTPS would alleviate this problem?

Robert, Honestly, not that I know of. That was how server was configured when I took over. Not really sure how to change it off of mixed mode.

Understood. I need to use https, so I changed the html to reflect that. Still having the same problem though. I readily admit that I am in uncharted waters for me.

Hi Robert, Then I must be missing something. I am able to hit our REST endpoint from devices outside our firewall. Granted, it is with an https connection.

I have now been thrown into the role of a GIS Web Developer. All the previous experience I have had has been with the Flex API but since Microsoft is pulling the plug on that (someday?), my company wants to work in with the JavaScript API. I have next to no experience with this API. I have set up a simple application, which is essentially a copy paste rip off of the following app: Popup widget | ArcGIS API for JavaScript. I have worked through it and added my own local REST service to the application. The REST service is publicly facing but, for some reason, is not displaying on the map at all. The application itself loads, with the base map and everything. Just not my actual service. Can anyone offer any ideas as to why? I have attached the html code I have so far. Thanks.

I am really just trying to confirm my understanding here. I want to restrict access to a service to specific roles in Server Manager. I then want to embed that service in a web application. If I do that, will users be prompted to provide a username and password automatically when they try to load that page or will I need to build a mechanism for them to provide it?

I have a user running into an issue with ArcScene 10.3. He is attempting to export a 3D scene. The export fails and when he attempts to close ArcScene the attached message is thrown. I have never encountered anything like this before and haven't been to find anyone else having this problem specifically with ArcScene. Could anyone shed some insight or point me in a direction I could start with? I have had the user rename his normal.sxt to generate a new one with no change. Also, I have had him try from two different .sxds with no change. His system is running Windows 7 64-bit. Thanks, Adam
