Hi Chris, I followed the steps that you've suggested but my 3D print model (building) has some issues. I exported the building as obj and print it , got issues with roof; exported as obj and convert to stl in Meshlab and netfabb, got the similar issues; either parts of the roof or the wall are missing int the print while the model looks fine in CE and in FlashPrint (before pressing the print button). I've got similar issues when I export the model as fbx into the UnrealEngine. roofts are not complete. Any suggestions?

HI Matthias, I downloaded your python script but am not sure how to use it. I ran it once through console (not sure if that's the correct way of running it) but nothing happened. Python> run script is inactive. I checked tutorial 10 but still can't figure it out. Any suggestions? I would like to automatically detect the street frontage for static shapes which are imported from GIS. Thanks, Aida

Hello, Has anyone know or worked with a tangible table (e.g. SandScape, tangible landscape, Illuminated clay...) to visualize 3D models? #3Dvisualization #tangibletable

Hello Dominic, I installed CityEngine2016 for this great highlight (getting base maps) but it is not working on my computer. I signed into both ArcGIS Online and can see the portal contents. But when I click file>Get map data it doesn't open any window to select the map/address. Would you please advise me on this? Kind regards, Aida

Hi David, I'm working on a new project that want to add your street rules to it. I can't understand how to solve the error on the rule package (image is attached). Can you please help me on this? Also, can I have your email address to discuss more about the copy/right things and how to cite you in a paper/workshop... Kind regards, Aida

Hi, I have a similar problem. ArcGIS Earth doesn't display anything and freeze several times. Even when I upload a map from ArcGIS online, it doesn't display anything. Any suggestions?

Hello, I'm not sure what the absolute or floating split does in splitting a facade using facade wizard. Do we need to use floating for the repetitive tiles? How do they differ? I appreciate any explanations. Thanks

Hello Eric and Cheryl, I'm using CE 2015.0. The image size was 252kb with 96 pixels resolutions. I downscale it to 70kb and the resolution of 50 pixels. The file name is: "Ziliniside1.jpg". But it's still not working. Even when I choose other images or other faces of the building the image doesn't load in the facade wizard(beta).

Hi Joseph, I have the ground and buildings as separate classifications (I'm not quite sure if that's what you are asking). I have 9 classes in the lasd. May I know more about the workflow you've mentioned? Thanks, Aida

Yes good to think about all... The actual heights are pretty accurate. I used Earthmine to get the accurate height; however, have checked some heights randomly in Development Applications and compared them with Earthmine which were very close. I was thinking perhaps there is any range to define accuracy for Lidar point density for example for low density urban areas with X amount of vegetation area... Anyway thanks for your reply.

Hello Dan, I want to create DEM also calculate building height and if possible generate building foot print automatically instead of digitizing the footprint. I used Lidar data with point density of approx. 1.5 points per meter (0.8 point spacing) to calculate building height but when I compared the height of some random buildings with the actual height there was an average height difference of nearly 0.9 meters. The height difference of (let's say) less than 0.3 m should be desired in my project since I need to do some view and shadow analysis and 1m difference is a lot. Thanks
