Page 4, #7. I am assuming this should say "The LRS_EventBehavior, LRS_Locks, and LRS_Metadata tables do not need editor tracking enabled." instead of Global IDs? 7. Enable editor tracking on all feature classes and tables in the geodatabase using UTC as the time zone (including the LRS_EditLog table). The LRS_EventBehavior, LRS_Locks, and LRS_Metadata tables do not need Global IDs. To enable editor tracking, see Enable or disable editor tracking.

Any idea on how many government entities are using ArcGIS Pro to manage their Roads and Highways data?

We are in the process of moving our ArcMap mxds over ArcPro and re-publishing them to our standalone ArcGIS Server. This is being done in preparation of eventually losing the ability to publish from ArcMap (plus it forces me to use Pro more consistently). Importing of the mxds into Pro and re-publishing the map services to AGS has gone surprising well. But now I am looking at our geoprocessing services. From what I can tell, you no longer have the ability to overwrite GP services? The only way publish is to delete the current GP services and then re-publish a new one with the same name. Is this correct or am I missing something simple? I did upgrade to Pro 2.8 so I could write the GP tool to a .sd file, but that still didn't give me the ability to overwrite an existing GP service. I also ran across a few posts about modifying the manifest.xml where you change the esriServiceDefinitionType_New type to esriServiceDefinitionType_Replacement. Although that doesn't seem like a long term solution. ArcPro 2.8 ArcGIS Server 10.8.1

I do not remember the exact error we had but we ran into query length issues and had to modify the web.config on the web adaptor RCE was hitting. https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000015245 brian <system.web>

We bumped into this by accident this week. We have a large mxd with 16 insets and 20+ layers/inset (not used for RH editing). One of our RH editors was working on the map for the executive team and it opened up in 3 minutes. Another user who had been working on it said it took her 10 minutes. To make a long story short, the first person had a new pc and the RH extension wasn't installed. As soon as it was installed, it went to a 10 minute load time. When we uninstalled the extension, it dropped back to 3 minutes. I also had the same results on my pc. I am at 10.8.1 and the RH editors are at 10.7.1. Very frustrating.

We have a winner. I get the joke now, I was thinking measures was in miles so that is where I adjusted the decimals. Thanks @AmitHazra , @CliveReece and @RyanKoschatzky

I tried that before posting. Tried it again and it doesn't change. I modified both the 'miles' and the 'meters' since it is UTM Zone 14N and the measures are in miles. I closed and re-opened the Project, still no luck. Am I missing something simple? I am at Pro 2.7.1.

How do you adjust the decimal places for M values in the Identify tool in ArcPro? We use the Identify Route Locations quite a bit in ArcMap and we are looking for the same/similar functionality in Pro. Using the RH tools provided in Pro requires a RH license which is not realistic for all of our users. I've been here but I think that is only for the actual measure tool (distance).

Thanks for responding. I went back and created a vanilla ArcPro Project and a vanilla Add-In with a single Map Tool (no further coding). The tool activates right away. If I add feature class layers to the vanilla project (SQL Server SDE/AD Security through VPN), save and reopen again, the activation takes 15+ secs. Remove the layers and the tool activates right away. Is the "map tool" checking the connections or opening an edit session or ? And if so, is there a way to prevent that behavior?

I've created a ArcGIS Pro Map Tool (Add-In) and when I activate it the first time in a session, it takes 15+ seconds before it becomes active. Is this normal? Once the tool has been activated in a session, the next time it is activates immediately.

It looks like current RH users will need to change their enterprise geodatabases significantly to accommodate the switch to Pro. We would basically need to move all of our events (70+ tables) into a single feature dataset? Is this correct? brian

Maja, I've been told multiple times by support that ArcMap/ArcCatalog handles Imports differently than Copy/Paste. So, if your shapes/geometry happen to have errors, the copy/paste will retain those errors while the import usually cleans it up. We've seen where we had errors in certain editing scenarios and when we moved to a FGDB to send to Esri Support via copy/paste, the editing errors still existed, when we did it via imports, the editing errors disappeared. This experience wasn't just a one off. So, when we move RH databases around, this is the procedure we follow. Create Database Import via Import Multiple Feature Classes/Tables tools LRS Networks (feature class) Events of interest (feature class) Minimum Schema Centerline (feature class) Calibration_Point (feature class) Redline (feature class) Centerline_Sequence (table) the 4 LRS_XXXX (table) If you haven't included all the Event tables just delete those through the normal ArcCatalog tools....ALRS>LRS>Event Tables. If you are moving RH from an Enterprise database to another Enterprise database, you will need to get the right tables versioned via the link Amit supplied. I tried to dig up who from Esri sent me this but I couldn't find it. brian
