For the best reponses you should post your code and explain what debugging you have tried so far. If this is an ESRI tool that is not working, you have posted in the wrong community. Brent Hoskisson

If you are a programmer, you should install ArcObjects or ArcGIS SDK. If you are just using a tool someone built, installing and licensing ArcGIS Desktop or ArcGIS Engine will be all you need. Brent Hoskisson

My question is: Is geomColl null? Or do you have two polygons in that collection? The "As" operator will set outPolygon to null if geomColl cannot be cast into an IPolygon type. If geomColl.GeometryCount = 2, you might need to pull out one polygon at a time. Brent Hoskisson

It is mostly there, you just need to do geomColl.AddGeometry on all of the interior rings of your original polygon. I am fairly certain that any interior rings not in your exterior ring will be ignored. However, if not, you might have to run an intersect first to see. Good Luck Brent

Are you referencing ESRI.ArcGIS.Desktop.AddIns? I don't think VS2022 is supported by ArcGIS 10.8.2 so there could be some other incompatibility. It definitely works for me in VS2019. Brent Hoskisson

This looks like an older method of adding commands. I recommend using Add-Ins. ESRI has a walk-through Here . Brent Hoskisson

Here is how I did it: Brent Hoskisson IActiveView av = (IActiveView)map;
IExport pExport = new ExportBMPClass
{
ExportFileName = bmpFile
};
tagRECT eRect = av.ExportFrame;
IEnvelope pPBE = new EnvelopeClass();
pPBE.PutCoords(eRect.left, eRect.top, eRect.right, eRect.bottom);
pExport.PixelBounds = pPBE;
try
{
int hDC = pExport.StartExporting();
av.Output(hDC, Convert.ToInt32(pExport.Resolution), ref eRect, null, null);
pExport.FinishExporting();
}
finally
{
pExport.Cleanup();

It can be difficult to fix an issue that works on one computer, but not another one. It could be different ways that ArcMap was installed. It could be different versions of ArcMap. Or it could be in that user's profile. Sometimes I will have the user log on to my computer and run it. If it works, you may have to reinstall ArcMap on the other computer. If it doesn't work, it could be a permissions issue. Good Luck Brent

There is not enough information to tell what you are trying to do. In your tool, you should be able to access the combo box data directly. string selecteddata = myComboBox.Text; //or myComboBox.SelectedItem.ToString(); You will not be able to access the combo box outside of the tool. Instead, when someone selects something, you will need to create an event in your tool that pushes the information to a place or property where that other program can find it. Good Luck Brent

What is expected from http://schemas.microsoft.com/windows/2005/02/color/WcsCommonProfileTypes ? On the surface it looks like the shapefile is corrupted. There may be something in it that is unsupported. I would test opening other simpler shape files to test this. Brent

The IFeatureClass object has a Fields property which is a collection of all the fields. You will need to iterate through each IField object in the IFields property. Get the count from the IFields and set a for loop. Get each IField object for each index and there is a Name object. //fc is your featureclass object... for(int i = 0; i < fc.Fields.FieldCount; i ++) { IField f = fc.Fields.get_Field(i); string name = f.Name; //collect these... } Brent
