Ian, Your addin worked straight away! I just wanted to say thank you. I had been using the 'SIGGIS Street & Bird View', which worked well for years, but had been returning a blank (black) screen in IE11 and Chrome browsers. Saves a lot of time to be able to pull up the view within ArcMap. Thank you, Brian

This is a pretty minor issue I'm having with MapSAR 10.1. I've attached an image that shows the 'Current Page' command in the MapSAR toolbar overlapping a few of the tools on the left. You'll see in the second image that the command looks like it's loaded twice, once on the far right, and again above the un-docked toolbar. Any ideas on how to remove the extra command from the toolbar? Thanks, Brian Windows 7 @ 64 bit [ATTACH=CONFIG]23815[/ATTACH] [ATTACH=CONFIG]23816[/ATTACH] [ATTACH=CONFIG]23817[/ATTACH]

I've finally got a table generated that will work for a street index and I'm attempting to use the ??Create Report?? tool with ArcGIS 10.1 to generate what I need for a map. Essentially, I have it setup and working but the gap that is generated between each street name is to large. I've been playing around with the ??Element Properties?? and realized that the 'Can Grow' behavior is where my problem may lie. If I set this to 'True' the street names longer then the space available will be given more space horizontally. A nice ability to have but by having this setup it seems to cause every other street name to take up more space horizontally. If I switch the ??Can Grow?? to ??False?? it fixes the issue but doesn??t allow longer street names enough space. This is a problem because I have limited space on my map. Has anyone had this issue before? Should I be using excel and if so is there documentation on the process? Am I missing something in the ??Element Properties??? Appreciate any ideas. Thanks, Brian

Hello, I'm having an issue with a Model Builder routine I've put together. The first issue I've noticed is that when building the model and testing it using the 'Run Entire Model' tool from the Model dropdown everything would run perfectly. All of the features and tables would appear in my geodatabase as expected. Of course while running my model within Model Builder I'm not able to take advantage of the 'Model Parameters' I've set up. So that's a problem but one that I can manage while developing the tool. Once the model is complete I double click the model within the geodatabase to run it. This prompts me with the parameters I've set up, I make the changes, and run it. Everything appears to work fine but just before it completes the tables that are generated disappear/delete. Any ideas? Here are some details on the data and versions. Windows 7 @ 64bit ArcGIS 10.1.0.3035 The geodatabase is attached with the model. Appreciate the help, Brian

Does anyone know if this issue has a fix? I'm having the same issue with not being able to select records in a table. I'll post a solution if I come across one. Brian An easy work around was simply saving everything and closing and reopening ArcMap 10.1.

I've been having this same issue. Has anyone figured out a solution yet? The final post on the thread suggested that by simply eliminating the spaces from the tool name would fix the incompatibility. I haven't had spaces in the folder location of the esriregasm.exe file or the tool name itself. When the term tool is referred to this means a .dll? Any ideas or solutions would be appreciated. Thanks, Brian

I'm having trouble getting MapSAR to load on ArcGIS 10.1 for Windows 7 (64bit). I'm getting the following errors (see attached images) when loading the '~LoadMapSARTools_Win7' batch file with the 'Run as Admin.' option. Any ideas? I'm working in ArcCatalog 9.3.1 (Build 3000) with model builder and I have Union in the model that gives me this error: Executing (Union (3)): Union "COWS_waterside_Layer #;'F:\CD Engineering & Inspections\MAPPING\CITY_DATA\DEPARTMENTS\FACILITIES_DEVELOPMENT\REVISIONS\41164_SOUTHPORT_EIP\Second_Analysis\Real_Estate_Analysis.mdb\scratch\CMA_1_20ft_PARUNILEV' #" "F:\CD Engineering & Inspections\MAPPING\CITY_DATA\DEPARTMENTS\FACILITIES_DEVELOPMENT\REVISIONS\41164_SOUTHPORT_EIP\Second_Analysis\Real_Estate_Analysis.mdb\scratch\CMA_1_20ft_UNION" ALL # GAPS Start Time: Mon Sep 12 16:05:25 2011 Reading Features... Cracking Features... Assembling Features... ERROR 999999: Error executing function. Failed to execute (Union (3)). End Time: Mon Sep 12 16:05:27 2011 (Elapsed Time: 2.00 seconds) I've been able to union these two features in ArcMap so I know the features are good. I've tried moving my personal geodatabase to my local C: and shortening the feature names but I haven't had any luck getting the union to run in model builder. Any thoughts? Thanks, Brian

Oh wow... this was far easier then I was making it. All I had to do was Summarize on the [APN] field and check the Sum box in the acreage field. The resulting table is exactly what I was looking for. Mcollinsamec, thanks for the post.

mcollinsamec, That makes sense to me. I would assume that the new table would only have unique APN values? Could you help me with how to populate the new APN table with unique values? I've got the code below but I'm not sure how to point the sField to the feature class and field. Thanks for the help, Brian Static d As Object Static i As Long Dim iDup As Integer Dim sField sField = CMA_3_50ft_PARCELS[APN] If (i = 0) Then Set d = CreateObject("Scripting.Dictionary") End If If (d.Exists(CStr(sField))) Then iDup = CMA_3_50ft_PARCELS[APN] Else d.Add CStr(sField), 1 iDup = 0 End If i = i + 1

jakubsisak, Thanks for the reply. I was finally able to get the fc's to show up in the Terrain. I ended up clipping the fc's to the limits of the Terrain and I think that did it. I was using polygon features with a field for the elevation... makes them a bit flat, since the entire poly is at one elevation, but it's good enough. Brian

Alright, let me see if I can explain this clearly. There are 3 variables: [APN] - String [Shp_Acerage] - Double [APN_ac] - Double I need records with the same [APN] to add up the [Shp_Acreage] in the [APN_ac]. The outcome of this would be... 2 or more records with the same [APN]: [APN] [Shp_Acreage] [APN_ac] 046-260-003-000 29.48 43.67 046-260-003-000 1.53 43.67 046-260-003-000 10.91 43.67 046-260-003-000 1.75 43.67 I was planning on running this through the Calculator on the [APN_ac] field but if there is a better way... I'll take it. Seems like a simple thing to do but I haven't had any luck. Appreciate the help, Brian

I'm working with a Terrain that I've generated using .las files and I'd like to add a Feature Class that I have in the same Feature Dataset to the terrain model. The problem I'm having is that I can't seem to get any of the SF_Type options to actually have any noticeable impact on the terrain or when I do add an FC it ruins the terrain. I can get the softline or hardline to show up but this doesn't impact the terrain in any way... other than to show it. The Feature classes that I'm trying to add are polygons that I've added an [Elevation] field of Double to. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brian
