The new Workforce Worker Map does not allow duplicate layers referencing the same featureclass/layer. This is commonly done to show status on a map. This appears to be related to the replica that gets created for the disconnected environment. We have encountered this multiple times now. In one example, we have a polygon layer in the Worker Map twice, and we hide/show the polygons using a definition query for a field that is different than the field used for symbology. Both layers show in the dispatcher map and the worker map in a web browser. However, neither layer shows in the Workforce Mobile App. They don't even show up in the layer list. One of the layers has to be removed in order to display the layer. Has anyone figured out a work around to this? Bruce

We noticed that a new replica gets created in the Enterprise database each time a Worker in the field downloads or reloads the same map. Is this normal behavior, or should Workforce delete the old Replicas automatically? I understand that this might be by design to prevent losing data. In our case, the Workforce Project is on ArcGIS Online, but the map services used as reference are hosted by ArcGIS Enterprise. Bruce

I have it working with REST services. One issue I encountered was that there were 2 layers in the map that were pointing to the same featureclass. They had a definition query in the map to select different features in the featureclass. That was preventing a replica from getting created when the worker downloaded the map and so none of the 'asset' layers would display. The behavior was just like you described.

Hello James, Yes, adding the worker layer back did fix their problem. We will verify that other clients don't have this issue today. Thank you for being so responsive to this. I was concerned about the amount of time it might take to resolve if we had to go through Esri support. Our clients use Workforce for a critical workflow. Let me know if you want any additional information. Bruce

Hello James, One of our clients had the same issue. The workers layer disappeared from the Dispatcher map. We have other clients that were fine. Regards Bruce

Hello Michelle, we have a client that is having this issue today. Their project is pretty big (16,000+ assignments). I checked another clients Workforce and it seems fine. I was about to create a support ticket and found your post. We haven't found a solution yet. Bruce

At this point Esri won't update this tool as all effort is being put into Pro at this point. We (Miller Spatial) are willing to update the code so it doesn't crash if we can get the code used so agencies can use it until they move to Pro.

I just had someone point out this issue on Windows touch devices. I can pinch and zoom on my Android phone. I just tried to pinch and zoom on my Surface and I have the same issue. I tried both an AGOL version and a developer version and both would not zoom. I'm pretty sure it worked before.

Mike, I just realized the Summary isolation trace tool doesn't count Hydrants which are selected in the regular 'Valve Isolation Trace' Tool. I might copy the hydrants as critical meters for this analysis (they don't track critical customers) to get around this, but I'd like to see if our developer can add hydrant counts to the existing tool. Is the code on Github? Bruce

I thought about trying that, but I was concerned about the performance trying to use for 25,000 main lines. I will give it try. Thanks! Bruce

mmiller-esristaff are you aware of a way to use a script to run the valve isolation tool on each main? We have a client doing a risk analysis and the essentially want to identify the mains in their system that would affect the most customers in the event of a break. I know we could do this if we had the source code using for the valve isolation. Is the latest code kept on GitHub? If it is, we wouldn't mind contributing back to GitHub. Bruce

Thanks for posting the solution! I ran into this today after I had downloaded a service into collector, but it was abruptly stopped by an IOS update. I was able to find and unregister the Replica. Regards Bruce
