I am running into an issue with AGOL Hosted Feature Layer. I have a layer named Hydrant that we reset the data to start a new collection process. This was last performed in April 2023. I went in today to start the process, and now I can only see one column in the data tab. There are 58 fields within this feature. When I show fields, the now visible fields as Locked. I have tried to use GIS Pro to edit the information by using calculate field. However I get an error code 160327: A column was specified that does not exist. Just looking for direction. Thanks

This is all good, but the issue still hasn't been resolved in ArcMap! Some programs are not compatible with GIS Pro and this seems to be an issue that was known done 2014.

I have an address point locator that is not recommending an address that is there when the street name is not spelled out. The address is 3081 Fontano Dr. When the dispatchers typed the address they typed 3081 Fontan, it it recommended 3081 Fountain and not 3081 Fontano. I have moved the spelling sensitivity, Minimum Candidate Score, and Minimum Match Score to 0 and it still will not recommend 3081 Fontano when only Fontan is placed in the line input. Am I missing something?

I am attempting to merge two different datasets and need some direction. The feature (Incident) I have has the following fields: Incident Number, date and call processing, unit1, raction1, travel1, unit2, reaction2, travel2, ....... I want to merge a table (Unit) with the following information: Incident number, Unit, Reaction, Travel, and sequence. I want to take the table and place the information that equals the incident number and place the information into the appropriate field for the units. Tried using field calculation to come up with a python script, but for the life of me I can't think how to get this done. I tried the following but i keep getting errors. #Field = answer(!UnitData.Apparatus_Name!, !UnitData.Sequence!) #Code Block def answer(unit, seq): if seq == 2: return unit else: return None In the long run, I want to be able to create a script to run to merge the data automatically to populate the data into a single field. Thanks for the thoughts...

It looks like this is now working for 10.6. I am able to add a related table record. I will need to start looking at older projects to get this up and working again.

Collin, I really have not looked into this issue at this time. I will need to go back and see what is going on. I am working on a MAJOR issue with GIS Pro at this time with ESRI support. I will take a look later today to see what the status is on our server.

Wendy, Thanks for the reply. How can ESRI ask companies to update to a new platform that will no longer support existing data? My place of employment has decided to have a few people that will use Pro to see how it works and to start moving towards the end date of 2025. With this last update of Pro , 2.3.2, we are having MAJOR issues with data disappearing during editing within a File Geodatabase with a single data set. I am thinking, with this latest update, that there is an issue with editing any dataset that has an existing Annotation layer. I am working with support to figure out the problem, but I think that the annotation feature inside of the data set is screwing up the editing. Everyone that we work with has not moved to Pro because of compatibility issues between ESRI Legacy. There is no information about these changes that are coming out in the updates about the need to upgrade-datasets. It seems to be an after thought. The main reason why we will not upgrade the datasets is because there are functions that PRO does not offer yet that we continue to utilize. PLEASE, listen to people that are trying to use when they have issues, wither it be performance issues, editing data, or other issues. I see great potential of the program, however you are asking a lot of your customers to make drastic changes to their data for a program that is not being widely utilized. Chris

OK, I just saw this and now I have a lot of questions about Annotations. We are using both Arcmap and GIS Pro. But I am unable to do anything with Annotations in Pro unless I upgrade the Geodata set. But if I do that people would not be able to view the Annotation Layer in ArcMap. For a program that is to make things easier it is making it a lot harder. So now my question is this. We are having issues with editing layers in Geodata sets that contain Annotation layers that originally came from ARCMap. Could the annotations be blocking use by being able to edit FGDB using the Basic Pro License? Chris

We are running into an issue where we are unable to edit existing FGDB on our servers using GIS Pro Basic. We are able to edit the same FGDB using ArcMap Basic license, but unable to do so with the Pro Basic License. Can someone give me a reason why this occurs?

I am probably overthinking this issue, but I just can't figure it out. I have a point feature that has local business names attached. The user would like to add parcel number (PIN) field and populate it with the PIN from the polygon layer. I do not want to do a join because of it creating a new feature. This information could be added to, and I don't want to recreate a join every time. Is there a way to do a spatial relate where the point would be related to the parcel feature, and then I can calculate the field in the point feature from the parcel layer. I am thinking that I might need to do a model. But every time I draw it out on paper, I can't figure out the selecting part to copy the data from the parcel to the point. Oh, and let me throw the big curve ball. I want to do this within GIS Pro. Thoughts?? Thanks Chris

Can this be moved to a bug, improvement, something..... This still had not gotten any better when utilizing an SDE. Especially when the basic functions are slow, selecting by attributes/location. Editing is fine and love it, but get the other functions corrected. I recently attend to version a data set, add global id, and Editor Tracking. It took me almost 10 minutes to get this accomplished using my desktop, connecting to our Sde on a 2016 server. This use to take, 1 maybe 2 minutes using arcmap .

I made an error on the server, we are currently using 2012. We have the most current version of server/portal on our system (Just updated 10.6.1). This has always been an issue with pro. There was a great video imbedded in this thread that shows the significant decrease in performance when changing symbology. We are in the process of updating the server to Windows 2016.

I have been using Pro for some time, and I like a lot of the editing features. However, changing symbology is so slow. I am using SDE (Server 2008), with versioned feature. I switched from single location, to unique values, added two fields, have 10 symbology types. To get to this point it took 10 minutes.I have the map paused, so it is not needed to change the view. Now I am going through and changing the symbology to match what was used in the past. I am now 40 minutes into the change. I change the line type. It takes about a minute to minute and a half to "update". Then I click properties to change the color, dash, offset, and it takes about another 2 minutes after the apply button is pushed. WHY IS THIS OCCURRING?!? It shouldn't take 1 hour to replace 10 symbology types. When the program is running idle it is using 0.5% of my CPU and 0 Mbps of the network When I click apply it uses 8.8% of the CPU and close to 45 Mbps of the network It also pulsates the usage, 10 to 15 seconds of use then 10 to 15 seconds of idle, and so on until it refreshes. I am using ArcGIS Pro 2.3.0 Processor: Intel Xeon CPU E5-2620 v3 @2.4Ghz RAM: 16.0 My throughput on my network to the server is 1000 Mbps Come on, please fix this very basic function with ESRI.

I would like an answer to this question also. Our entire system works on versioning due to so many people and or departments could be editing the information at the same time. If so, when will this be available. Hopefully soon!
