If possible, these system folders should be stored within the aprx file. Maybe this can be handled the same way the newer Microsoft Office file formats do it. If you rename a docx or xlsx file as a zip file, you will see that there are multiple folders contained within. Edit: Actually, I just checked and if you rename an aprx file as a zip file, lo and behold, there are folders and files within. Esri, can the system folders be stored in there too?

Please, for all the same reasons already listed here, implement this idea!

Although I prefer the ArcMap method, it is nice to know you can do this in Pro. @JosphatMutunga, what is the name of the tool in Pro that displays the snap cache? I would love to reassign the shortcut key to the letter v.

@JonathanNeal Thanks for the follow-up. In my experience, kml/kmz formats do not handle the complex symbology that is used with geologic maps (e.g., dashed lines, lines with ornaments, etc.). Admittedly, I am not that experienced with the geopackage format but they do appear to be a superior format to kml/kmz. While Google Earth is a powerful visualization tool, it is not a true GIS application. Geopackages are compatible with open-source GIS apps like QGIS and provide significantly more functionality.

@JonathanNeal Correct me if I am mistaken but the alternatives you mentioned are all proprietary esri formats. Geopackages are open-source and platform-independent. Many of esri's customers are government entities that are dedicated to providing data to all users, not just esri users, so having the ability to include symbology in a geopackage would be a very valuable improvement.

Yes, definitely good news that this is in the product plan but very disappointing that this functionality wasn't there to begin with.

Another simple yet useful thing that you could do in Desktop but not in Pro. Please consider adding this to help make Pro at least as functional as Desktop.

Please prioritize. Things like this make using Pro a very frustrating and annoying experience.

It is unbelievable that this has not been implemented yet. This is basic functionality that should absolutely be included in any software that claims to be "Pro".

Thanks, Robert. Nice to know it now exists as a stand-alone tool and that I can add it to my QAT. Unfortunately, this is only a partial fix though since ultimately, I would like to call this tool up with a shortcut key so I can use the tool in the midst of editing/creating features, just like I can in ArcMap. However, if I am creating a feature and then initiate the rectangle zoom tool with a shortcut key, the active tool switches to the rectangle zoom tool and I lose the feature I was in the process of creating. What I really want is for the rectangle zoom tool to be associate with the "z" shortcut and not the dynamic zoom tool. Adobe products have a similar issue but give the user the option of which type of zoom tool they prefer to use. it would be nice if we had a similar option in AGP.

Hi Kory. Thanks for the follow-up. Unfortunately, this idea has not been implemented. You are correct that using the z key gives you a "dynamic" zoom tool but not the zoom rectangle (aka marquee zoom) tool that the Shift key provides.

That should work. The Feature to Polygon tool allows for multiple inputs (e.g. line feature classes).
