Thank you Phil for the idea. Yes, I am on monitor 2023.3.1. That does seem to work for me but I have a few servers registered that have the same folder structure and map service name. If I stop a service on one server that has a duplicate name and folder structure from another, a notification doesn't get generated. If they are duplicated, the drop down list doesn't seem to recognize those duplicates by server so I am looking for a way to create a notification by server. I came up with this definition below, the logic seems sound but I am not getting a notification result if I stop a service: Thank you, Chris

Josh, I was able to set up this notification like you have configured for a single service. Is it possible to set this up for multiple services instead of each individual service having to have a notification tied it? I was thinking maybe through a collection of all our maps services but when I choose the collection resource type, System State isn't presented as an option. **UPDATE- Monitor version is 2023.3.1 Thank you, Chris

Hi all, I have 4 ArcGIS Server's registered with Monitor. Each server is set up in a similar way with folders (folders for Aerial Imagery, Locators, Maps, System and Utilities....). If say two servers have a service that share the same name in a folder, is there a way to differentiate them when building an expression? It appears that if the services are named the same and in the same folder on different servers, only one will appear when looking through the services list while building an expression? It probably is just a poor naming structure on our part but didn't seem like it would be an issue until now trying in monitor. Has anyone else experienced this? Thank you, Chris

I agree as well... I feel there is so much useful information in monitor, I am just struggling with ideas of what would be the most informative analysis's to be displaying and notifying us on. Ideas, samples, suggestions would be very appreciated. Chris

We are running into this as well in Web App Builder version 2.27. I was reading in another forum that it might be because Imagery Services are not supported by the basemap gallery. How can that be? They have been around for what, at least 10 years haven't they? Chris

Tony, Yes, it had to do with the domain service account I was using to run the ArcGIS Monitor service. Changing that to Local System account corrected my issue. Not really sure what caused it to not like my domain account, I had used it in my 10.8.1 service as well as all of my beta testing of 2023. I hope this fixes your issue. Thank you, Chris

*Edit*: There are 3 instances of ArcGIS Monitor Running in task manager. Hello All, I have ArcGIS Monitor installed and authorized. However, when I try to access the setup site "https://monitorserver.domain.com:30443/arcgis/monitor/setup" or click on the shortcut I keep getting the following error: I have done all of the standard things like reboot the server, clear browser cache, uninstall/reinstall (as an administrator), tried a different browser and ran a modified installation. All of that and I still can't reach the site. I then called in a coworker for some assistance and they suggested trying through http but the same result. we then got looking to see if those ports were open. I ran a netstat -ab command, copied the results into Word and tried searching for port 443 or 30443. Neither one was listed. I then googled how to open ports in windows server. Went to administrative tools<windows defender firewall with advanced security<inbound rules and proceeded to add a rule for ports 443 and 30443. Once again tried to access the site but still no luck. I then got into the properties of those rules and noticed a "programs and services" tab. Clicked on that and set the service to the ArcGIS Monitor service but still no luck. One last thing I tried was to stop IIS from running but that also had no effect. I am pretty sure it must be a setting on my server but I have run out of ideas as to what or where to look. Thank you in advance for any ideas we haven't thought of. Thank you, Chris

Thank you Josh, deleting the monitor folder under program files seems to have fixed the issue. However, I've run into another issue. I can't get the setup page to load after authorizing. I've done a number of things to trouble shoot but keep getting this error: Should I post everything I did in this post or start a new post? Thank you, Chris

Josh, I did not delete the contents of that folder, I will give that a shot right now. The ArcGIS Monitor service is running with a domain account. I checked the administrator group under computer management and that account wasn't listed there so I added it just in case. Uninstalling right now and will delete the contents of the folder you suggested and try to reinstall. I will keep you post. Thank you for the suggestion. Thank you, Chris

I have a windows 2019 server that I was running the beta version of Monitor on. I did a complete uninstall of that version and installed the new 2023 version. I was going through the setup and noticed the setup pages would randomly become unresponsive. Tried multiple reloads of the page but still not responsive. I then went to check the monitor service and it was stopped. I started it and went back to the page, reloaded it but still not responding. I went back to services, refreshed the list and the monitor service was once again stopped. Started it again and it showed as running but I refreshed the list and it was stopped again. I then rebooted the server and it seemed to work for a little while but then the service began stopping again. I then did a complete uninstall then reinstalled the software. As soon as the software was installed I checked the service and it was stopped. Tried to start it and it was acting the same way. Event viewer is flagging it with this error "The ArcGIS Monitor Server service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s)." Also after the reinstall, my CPU is pegged at 100% and I have many, many, many arcgis-monitor.exe programs running: I'm kind of at a loss right now. Has anyone run into anything similar to this? Thank you, Chris

I was able to get connected as an administrator. I had to go to Connections<Server<Add Server and go to an existing connection file I created in ArcMap. Why Pro Why?????????
