I'm new to Development. I need to create a Windows based map that is not online the data is stored on the local computer. I'm trying to find examples, tutorials that could help me create this. I'm only finding examples and tutorials that are mostly for IOS and Android. Any suggestions on where to look. Thanks, Chris

I would like to create sequential numbers automatically without the use of the field calculator. I have a point feature class with a column that has sequential numbers when I go to add a point I would like it to calculate or add the next number in the sequence. I would like to do this without using python or field calculator. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advanced.

I'm using ArcGIS 10.3. I have a point feature class. With the point feature class I'm trying to use the Point to Line tool in Toolbox to create a line out of the points. My problem is that the points were not drawn sequentially to represent a line the points were placed randomly within an existing line with no order or following and existing line say North to South. Sothe problem is in order for the Point to Line Tool to follow the points and create a line I need add a column that has a draw order but I have over a 1,000 points. Is there any way to automate this? Thanks for the help

I'm using ArcMap 10.3 Standard. I was given 2 point shapefiles of AutoCAD Stationing. 1 is of the accrual tick marks the other one is the text for the tick marks. This is what I did converted the tick points (marks) to a line then I tried to somehow set the tick points to lines that follow the polyline standing up. Which didn't work. I tried using ET GeoTools to create stationing which is exactly what I needed but that tool does not tack into consideration the PI’s, it just puts a point say every 100 feet. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. Thanks in advanced.

I'm using ArcGIS 10.3 standard. I'm trying to geocode addresses I don't have an ArcGIS Online account yet. I was wondering were I can download the old ArcMap data that was used to geocode before ESRI switched over to ArcGIS Online.

I'm having the same problem but when shapefiles are created from a CAD drawing then brought directly into Google Earth then I create a shapefile in ArcMap the CAD generated shapefile and the ArcMap shapefile don't line up they are off by 3 feet. I played around with projections an I found that NAD27 works and make s the 2 line up. This caused a lot of problems it would be nice if we could just export directly form state plane and come into the correct place in GE

I have a shapefile that I converted to a .kmz from it's native projection (state plane- NAD83). A college compared my kmz to an older version of the same .kmz. The two did not line up in Google Earth. I spoke with and ESRI Tech support they said I should reproject the shapefile to WGS84 then it should line up in Google Earth well it did not line up with the older .kmz. Both shapefile line up perfectly in ArcMap. I don't know how the older version .kmz was created. Does anyone have any suggestions on how they convert a shapefile/feature class into a .kmz/.kml? Any info will help. Thanks
