I want to find out if the Survey123 form Excel spreadsheet can accept Excel macros. In other words, can a macro be built in to a form spreadsheet and saved as an xlsm file?

How do you append photos and features in a file geodatabase to an AGOL feature layer with the same schema? Appending the features is easy, but I have not found a straight forward way of appending the photos due to the presence of two separate relates? Any help would be appreciated.

Dan, Do you have an idea when this bug will be fixed? Our architecture involves data collection feature layers that are loaded with many different reference layers for many different web maps covering many mines. We have had problems with photo syncing, and we have found that using push only alleviates those problems. It's also not trivial for us to change to an architecture of creating a single feature layer for both collection and reference layers. So you can see that this is an important bug fix for us. Cheers, Chris

Dan, All layers are AGOL-hosted feature services. My web map architecture is simple: one feature layer with data collection features, and one feature layer with several uneditable reference layers. Feature access for the reference layers was set at Query and Sync only, and for data collection layers I checked all boxes. I have only encountered this behavior on Apple products, but I have not tested on an Android yet. I did select Push Only on my Apple. Thanks for the info, Chris

I am working with an offline web map in Collector, and every time I come back online and sync features, I receive an error message: "A sync direction of upload was specified, but there were no local edits or upload is not enabled for this service" Sync DOES succeed, but the message is annoying. Any ideas as to how to remove this? Chris

While collecting data using Collector, upon clicking a collected point to view the attributes, a window appears that says "No address found" and it shows the map coordinates. How can that be turned off? Once this window appears, the point cannot be accessed.

In Collector, I can create a date field so when field users collect a feature, they can enter a date. Is there a way to automate this process, so today's date is entered automatically as an attribute for each feature that is collected? Chris

Here you go: Esri Case #01762686 - Android device Collector App10.3.7 I'm taking off soon, so tomorrow will suffice. This feature service is only accessible to a small group within my agency, and used by only a few people in that group. Yes, users have viewed the data while still connected prior to downloading. Scott, Here is another interesting wrinkle. I looked at the 'Usage' tab on the affected feature layer and here is a screen shot: What are "Requests"? I checked a few other feature layers, and the numbers are typically 2 to 4, not over 1,000. This seems very odd to me. Chris

Hi Scott, When we synchronize there are no error messages. With regard to the web map, I am referring to publishing of the web map in AGOL, and data collection to that web map since last June. Yes, we are seeing the behavior on Sony and Samsung Android devices. When I tested with an iOS device, everything worked normally. No, the attachments are simply gone - we have not found them anywhere in any form. We tried a test using the same devices with a new web map created yesterday, and new photos attached properly. I have a hunch that this might have some correlation with the new 'Advanced Offline Options' capability, but that is based only on an observation that in the 'old' web map, these options are all grayed out (for the owner and administrators too), whereas in the 'new' web map created yesterday, they are all active. This still does not explain the disappearance of many photos taken over several months that were being stored on the AGOL enterprise database. We checked other data collection feature layers and associated web maps that have also been functioning since last summer, and those photos appear to be present, so the problem appears to be related to a single set of data collection feature layers. Chris
