Hi, Crossposted from the JavaScript forum, as that probably wasn't the best place to ask. We have published a DEM (GeoTIFF) as an ImageService to our ArcGIS Server. It has elevation values between -6ft and 12ft. According to its properties in ArcCatalog, it has a NoData Value of -32767. However, when accessing it via the RasterLayer type in the 3.x JavaScript SDK (4.x is not an option, btw; not sure that it would matter anyway) areas of known NoData values are 0 instead of -32767. This presents a problem, as filtering elevation values on the map via a slider that restricts displaying pixels to only values say, between -2 and 4ft means that the entire map outside the bounds of the dataset is shown. See the screenshot. How can I get the service to actually sent back the NoData value instead of 0, as 0 is actually a valid elevation in the dataset. That way, I can also filter pixels by NoData.

We've had this same issue for a long time. At least a couple of years. It's very frustrating. We have almost the exact same setup, too. VMs with SDE and ArcGIS Server. We've tried a lot of what you've tried, but nothing fixes it for more than a day or two, sometimes a little longer. We end up having to either restart the troublesome service or the entire AGS if it's more than a few services misbehaving, which is often the case. Because we have clients that we host services for, it's very important to try to stay on top of. Unfortunately, it's also just about impossible. Out administrator is at his wit's end, as you can imagine. Every time I email him to say the service(s) is acting up again, I can practically hear him sigh from across the state.

Hello All, Using Javascript API 3.27 I have noticed what looks to be an issue in the way the KML Layer's Folders are created for a very simple KML File. The structure of the source KML File is simple a placemark, and a SIBLING folder with three placemarks in it. However when added to the map, the resulting KML Layers folder structure places the sibling folder as a child folder within the first placemark's folder instead of at the same level as the first placemark's folder. Visually, that's fine. However, because we have the ability to turn layers on-and-off in our application, when we set the visibility of the first placemark using the KML Layer's setFolderVisibility method, then what is supposed to be the sibling folder is also turned on/off. In other words, because the sibling folder has been placed underneath the first placemark in the hierarchy, it's visibility becomes dependent on it. You can use https://utility.arcgis.com/sharing/kml and paste the encoded contents of the attached KML file to see what I'm talking about with respect to the incorrect folder hierarchy it creates. If may helpul to use a JSON viewer to observe the results easily. I use Chrome's JSON Viewer Extension. You can see it creates 3 folders (ids: 0, 1, 18). which is correct. Folder id 0 is the document itself. Folder 1 is the lone placemark. However, folder 18 is placed as a child of folder 1. This is incorrect. Folder 18 should be at the same level as folder 1 instead. Attached is the KML. If you open it in Google earth, you can see the proper hierarchy.

Hi All, I've noticed something that worked in 10.5 is no longer working in 10.6. We have a DWG seed file (version ACAD2013) and have been using it without issue in the past in ArcMap 10.5. However, this same seed file seems to be being ignored altogether by the Export To CAD Tool in ArcMap 10.6. By that I mean, the features exported are being symbolized with defaults (white line, continuous) and the layers that existed in the seed file template are not present in the output DWG file. The Export To CAD Tool is behaving exactly as if I had not selected a seed file at all. Has anyone else experienced this? I see that there are some known issues/BUGs with Blocks in ArcMap 10.6, but I haven't seen any mention of my issue specifically in the BUG report. The closest I have found is Block Issue

OK, I figured it out. I had to call csvLayer.clear(); first.

Hello all, In my application, I have a CSVLayer that displays fine. I also have a master clone of it's graphics array. I filter that array based on user selected options based on the graphics attributes, and then set the CSVLayer.graphics property to that array. csvLayer.graphics = filteredArray;
csvLayer.redraw(); However, the CSVLayer continues to show all of the original graphics. How can I properly filter the graphics of the CSVLayer and have it redraw? edit: i also tried csvLayer.remove(oldGraphic);
csvLayer.add(newGraphic);
csvLayer.redraw();
to no avail.

Is there a delay applied in the API to the map's click event? I haven't measured it, but there is a noticeable lag between when the mousebutton comes up and the event firing.

Interesting...I REALLY hope this is something that will be adjustable in the final version. Makes too much sense. And frankly, I think a user would expect it, especially savvy Google Earth users.

What I'm hoping for is a way to set/adjust it on the client. It seems like a logical property to be able to change, especially in areas where elevation changes are relatively minor and an exaggeration would help make them stand out. I understand it may be possible at the service level, but honestly it just seems like something a user would want to be able to control.

I speaking more to extending TiledMapServiceLayer for accessing tiles from a folder relative to the host page instead of from a MapService. We have done this before using previous APIs. While not the exact same scenario, this 3.x example is what I'm talking about, although I am of course looking for a 4.x beta example. Creating a custom tiled layer type | ArcGIS API for JavaScript

Good to know. Never would have thought to look in the ArcGIS Online docs instead of the JavaScript docs On a related note, are there any samples showing how to use a custom tiled layer with the new Javascript API?

In looking at it, the only thing I can see about the MapService that may be non-standard is that the tiles are 512x512. We have another that is 256x256 that works. Is 512x512 not supported? We have a lot of cached MapServices using that tile size.
