Currently the default offline packaging tools in ArcGIS Online will create empty standalone tables in the replica definition. Syncing data will not populate the standalone tables with records. If standalone tables are used for application settings or inventory transactions or activity history (as we do in a custom application), this is a real issue. The Advanced Options in the web map settings already provide options for attachments and features. Please add options for standalone tables - to include updates for table records or not, and perhaps a date or other filter. This is already supported in the REST API Setup Map Area, using the optional featureServices request parameter with a layerQueries parameter to get the table records in the package. But that requires creating your own offline packaging tools rather than using ArcGIS Online to do so.

We also had this issue with a custom app. We got some guidance and implemented our own packaging workflow that mimics the web map offline area packaging, but it implements a couple of parameters in the Setup Map Area REST API call in order to get records in the standalone table. Hopefully the configuration options in 'Advanced Options' can be enhanced to include an option to populate standalone tables or not. Specifically, we are using the optional featureServices request parameter with a layerQueries parameter to get the table records. https://developers.arcgis.com/rest/packaging/api-reference/setup-map-area.htm

Is the Analysis > Plan Route functionality planned for ExB? The Directions widget doesn't cover the requirement. In WAB, clients use Query to select a group of features, then the Analysis > Plan Route to create a best route.

I also have clients using the Analysis widget and specifically the Plan Routes functionality. I have not yet found the similar functionality in ExB. This could be due to unfamiliarity on my part - still looking. The Directions widget is not the one.

Error is "Unable to load https://fs2.keysmosquito.org/portal/sharing/proxy?https://fs2wa.fkmcd.local/server/rest/services/Utilities/OfflinePackaging/GPServer/SetupMapArea/submitJob?mapAreaItemId=5a731122b7c44058a7ef0c0296260002&tileServices=%5B%7B%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Ffs2.keysmosquito.org%2Fportal%2Fsharing%2Fservers%2F715b89f2f98c4975ae0727b2c7e357fc%2Frest%2Fservices%2FWorld_Topo_Map%2FMapServer%22%2C%22levels%22%3A%222%2C3%2C4%2C5%2C6%2C7%2C8%2C9%2C10%2C11%2C12%2C13%2C14%22%7D%5D&f=json status: 500" Using standard Web map Settings > Offline > Manage Areas UI. The fact that an Offline section is present tells me that the preparatory steps have been done successfully - the data has been properly prepared for offline, the feature service has sync enabled, the web map is using a basemap that is exportable. The reference to the internal FQDN of the federated Server points me towards the probable cause of the problem, but I am not sure how to fix it. I don't know if the error tells me that the OfflinePackaging service isn't accepting the SubmitJob request due to an authentication problem, or due to not recognizing the web context (should be https://fs2.keysmosquito.org/server instead of internal FQDN), or if the problem is something else entirely. For example, the Web map has the following basemap in it a "World Topo Map Offline", which is a local portal item that was added from this URL: https://tiledbasemaps.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/World_Topo_Map/MapServer with ArcGIS Online credentials embedded, made a part of a web map, then added to the basemap gallery as a basemap choice. (following this documentation: https://tiledbasemaps.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/World_Topo_Map/MapServer) Problem seems to be that the URL embedded in the Portal item for that world topo map mapserver is https://fs2.keysmosquito.org/portal/sharing/servers/715b89f2f98c4975ae0727b2c7e357fc/rest/services/World_Topo_Map/MapServer?token=lAjd4L4g20TmkcAGYv2FWF3Q9bQQ1BSzOwISvTAUX229DiafuJINqc4o6cW9jzUkqzZ0C9qWsfQ9ArrZKmLy5yWht9bO2dkjfJdvS94vorvbGceddc54VKRbr68YsVIFGVwFlK_NOWn1VXu96IARsYHxQqkvcEysEK_VJR0YyPGhJ3L7Bn6FKRFVBbcE9ONqllVq9pLFIyL5pq_xqZvF0yXCUH03n8p6BbqSjXBGkJ4. which doesn't resolve to anything. I don't know how to resolve it.

When we are trying to sync an Offline Area it's throwing an error- " Error while handling get server sync job status. Job error 500 [\"ErrorMsg@SyncGPService:{\\\"code\\\":500,\\\"description\\\":\\\"Failed to synchronize.\\\"}\",\"Failed to execute (Sync Feature ServiceReplica).\",\"Failed.\"]." Any lead what might be the underlying issue as other services are working fine this issue is only repeatable in one particular enterprise. The only difference here is we are using ArcGIS data store in this enterprise service.

Currently, offline map areas must be re-created when a domain is changed on the hosted feature service at least according to the documentation which says the following: "In some situations, you must re-create a map area. When you re-create a map area, all existing packages are deleted and new packages for all layers in the map are created. You must re-create a map area in the following cases: Fields have been added to or removed from a layer in the map. Domains or feature templates in the map have been modified." This is a very punitive process for mobile GIS projects where some of the domain values may change relatively frequently, if it requires the user to delete already downloaded offline data, then re-download the newly packaged offline data again. Also, ArcGIS Online should provide some guidance to the user when a feature service with Sync enabled and replicas in place is modified in a way that would require data to be repackaged and re-downloaded. Suggest that domain changes be automatically handled by the Refresh Package workflow rather than requiring the offline map area to be re-created, and enhance ArcGIS Online user experience to make the user aware of what they have to do when this kind of change is made.

Hi Chris Whitmore, 18 months later is there a way to tell which apps use this capability? Looking for ways to leverage this, but first have to understand it better. I'm not able to find documentation which helps explain this, we still have the same ArcGIS Online help article that Jayanta Poddar mentions above, no more info than that still that I can find. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist, but I can't find it.

Hi Kylie, Can the scope of the changes to fix services in AGOL be expanded to include hosted feature services created from Pro? I can see no way to fix current production services without major changes to schema or deployment which would impact all client apps using the services (we have a JavaScript API Web app, and a cross-platform mobile app, both of which are in use at more than 20 customer locations). Currently it looks like this means we have to revert our mobile solution from Runtime 100.5 back to Runtime 100.1 (the last version of runtime that didn't have some bug that prevented us from using it, and which does not have this problem with the LoadAsync() choking on layers). That's obviously not a good long term solution. We want to be on the latest Esri Runtime for many reasons. Currently we've opened a support case about this aspect of the issue, Esri Case #02317535 - Not all layers get loaded (in Collector, or in Runtime app). That case is new and hasn't yet been worked or escalated. We are just looking for a workable solution at this point. Any help you can provide is appreciated.

Hi Kylie, that is correct. Publishing the feature classes as separate hosted feature layers is not a possibility in this case. This is a production service with data in it so implementing that "solution" would be very problematic. One thing that seems to "fix" it is to delete the domain list and re-create it. I would not want to do this manually for all of the affected domains though. I would be very grateful if you are able to follow up and find out what other solutions there may be. This is pretty major for us.

Hi Kylie, no we have layers in the same file geodatabase which have fields with the same name which use the same domain (which of course is how domains work by design in a file geodatabase) which have been published to a single feature service in ArcGIS Online. After the feature service is in ArcGIS Online, the user (item owner, administrator) will change the domain list for one of the fields and then this error will occur. How can the issue be fixed in that case?

Hi Kylie. No we don't have the map open in Collector. What we're seeing is that after changing the domain on one of these fields so that the domain lists do not match, we will get the error "Domain already exists". The layer was originally published from Pro to ArcGIS Online (Share As Web Layer). I wasn't aware that the fix would only apply to layers created in ArcGIS Online, I thought it would apply to feature services that are hosted in ArcGIS Online. So how can feature services that were published from Pro like that be fixed?

Hi Kylie, we aren't finding this method to work. For example, if I have ProposedTreatmentArea and Treatment both with a field called Method, I can create this error by changing the domain on one of them. If I edit the domain on both of those fields, I still get the error. Shouldn't editing the domain list through ArcGIS Online cause the domain to be resaved with a unique name so that this doesn't happen?
