That absolutely worked! No modifications needed, thanks so much! I'll post what it looks like now.

I'm trying to make an arched entryway using the primitiveDisk operation in the wall of a gable roofed building. The arch is coming along just fine and i'm sure i'll be able to make the pattern I need on the inside, but there is a gap being left in the wall by the rectangular shape the primitiveDisk operation uses. Any ideas on how to fill the gap or better solve this problem? See the attached screenshot...

Hi, Upon exporting my models to a .3ws file and attempting to use Open With --> 3D Web Scene Viewer (offline), some of my building are looking much different than they do in the CityEngine 2015.2 desktop application. I have an idea that the problem has something to do with a section of the model being extruded. For example, when making a garage door, I use the following code: GarageDoor -->
extrude(-.1)
comp(f) {top: <door image here> | bottom: NIL | left: X. | right X. | front: X. | back: X.} In CityEngine's native Viewport, the model comes out looking normal, I see nothing where NIL is, and something where the code calls for (when viewing from outside of the model). When looking in the Web Scene Viewer, and viewing from outside of the model I see nothing where the extrusion is at all; however, I can see that the image of whatever is part of the "top" section if I pan to view the model from the inside. I will post two pictures as an example, the first of the building from the outside of the garage door, the second from the inside, behind the garage door. Any help that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated!

Cheryl, thanks so much! This solution worked great after a slight amount of tweaking. Here is how it ended up, and below is the code that I ended up using GableRoof --> #Sets the angle of the roof and differentiates the slants and sides of the roof, textures with an image s('1, '2, 0) roofGable(RoofAngle) s('1, '0.5, '0.5) t(0,0,'1) comp(f) {top:Texture("SlopedRoof") | side: Texture("RoofWall")} Again, thanks a lot, this has had me stumped for a couple days, and now I should be able to apply it to a couple more buildings.

Good morning, I'm working on a small building in CityEngine 2015.2 that (I believe) has a gabled roof. Upon using the roofGable rule, the gables are automatically assigned. I would like to know if there is some way I could assign which edges get gabled, as the automatic settings are assigning gables to the wrong, real-world, edges. See images attached. Here is my current section of code for the roofGable rule. The edge that needs to be assigned a gable is the first edge (0). GableRoof --> roofGable(RoofAngle, 0, 0, true,0) comp(f) {top:Texture("SlopedRoof") | side: Texture("RoofWall")}

Upon further examination, the solution is extremely easy after all! The following code solved it (for the most part). extrude --> extrude (-5) comp(f) {bottom: NIL | top : Texture(WallTexture) | side: Texture(WallTexture)}

I have an irregular shaped building with over 20 faces, and 3 floors. However, on one of the faces, there are only 2 floors and the roof comes down to meet it. I have tried making the third floor of that particular face NIL, but the roof still hangs over it. I want to be able to push the face of the third floor back about 5 meters and on top of the second floor. I'll attach a picture of what my building looks like, and hope someone can share a bit of CGA knowledge that will let me just take the face of the third floor and show it back 5 meters or so back from the face of the third floor.
