How would one use REST services to detect what features have been deleted during a certain period of time? More to the point, how would one synchronize two identical feature types using only REST services? The trouble I'm seeing is there is no way of querying for deleted features because, well, they're deleted. I would think archiving would provide a mechanism for seeing what was deleted within a time period.

This should be an enhancement but if you want to avoid all that code you could replace the _setTooltipMessage method. Do the default action unless this._options.tooltip exists. Initialize the Draw tool with
drawTool = new Draw(map, {tooltip: "place text"})
Alternatively you could set
drawTool._tooltip.innerHTML = "place text"
when you activate() it.

Confirmed: Setting dojoConfig.baseUrl="//js.arcgis.com/3.11/dojo" before loading dojo.js did the trick. FYI - I’m using the dojo loader but since init.js is 292k bytes and dojo.js is 45k I prefer to load only what I need and rely on browser caching for performance. I don't want to load the entire map API up front. I also want to be in control of which dojo, dijit, dgrid, xstyle and esri libraries load to facilitate debugging.

require.toUrl("dojo") resolve to a URL containing [HOSTNAME_AND_PATH_TO_JSAPI]. This is because http://js.arcgis.com/3.11/dojo/dojo.js contains this reference whereas http://js.arcgis.com/3.10/js/dojo/dojo/dojo.js contains "js.arcgis.com/3.10/js/dojo/dojo". I'm surprised anything is working. Do I have to set the baseUrl myself?

I also notice it's using dojo 1.10 which (it seems) doesn't properly resolve dojoConfig.deps (I use dojoConfig.deps=["xstyle/css!path/to/css"]). 1.9.x would resolve to js/dojo/xstyle but now it resolve to an invalid url (http://xstyle I believe). I'm okay with troubleshooting that to get to 3.11 but I'm not okay with having to make these changes just to get my zoom box back which was broken in 3.8!

http://js.arcgis.com/3.11/dojo/dojo.js does not have the "js/dojo" that 3.10 has (http://js.arcgis.com/3.10/js/dojo/dojo/dojo.js). Is it safe to assume "js/dojo" will be dropped?

From http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#//0154000004rz000000: The FeatureID parameter can be used in GetFeature requests to request specific features in a WFS service. The FeatureID parameter consists of the feature type and the feature ID (gml:id), not the OBJECTID of the feature. The format of a feature ID for a feature in a WFS service is <FeatureType>.<gml:id>. One method to identify the gml:id of a feature in a WFS service is to do a GetFeature request on the feature type of interest.

I've discovered a very easy to reproduce leak using sIEve and this sample. I've already posted this issue to support and gis.stackexchange but thought I'd share it here as well. Repeatedly load the above mentioned sample in sIEve consumes 15 MB each time. My particular environment includes google, bing, osm, wms, geometries, markers and complexities that undoubtedly compound my memory issues but this was the simplest way for me to show a significant leakage. I suspect there is no easy workaround but I would be grateful to know of one.
