Hi. I set Parallel Processing Factor to 0% and it worked every time I ran CostBackLink for a huge raster dataset (43k x 40k). Have a nice day. Carlos

Hi, folks. I'm quite sure this error is related to using parallel processing. Setting the Parallel Processing Factor to 0% (yeap! zero) runs without error! OS: Windows 10 Build 19045 Dell Precision M6700 - 32GB RAM - i7-3940XM - 2 SSD hard drives ArcGIS Pro 3.02 Cheers, Carlos Ribeiro

It will fail if input raster is stored in FGDBR format (geodatabase), either executing Region Group in ArcMap/ArcCatalog 10.7.1 or ArcGIS Pro 2.4. If input raster is stored in ESRI grid format (in a workspace), it wil run like a charm. It took ~118hr to identify ~20 million groups from a raster having 14,951x12,704 8bit cells... This also works fine in ArcGIS Pro 2.4 if your input data is a TIFF image. However, the performance will be a bit slower (~120.5hr) .

For me it happend when I ran my script for populating a turntable which made part of a network dataset, by copying the features from another feature class not belonging to the netowrk. After some tests, I finally found out the cause of getting the useless message SystemError: error return without exception set: eventhough I had added the turntable to the network before it being populated, I didn't rebuilt it . So, I ran Build Network GP and the script worked like a charm!

Turn Table to Turn Feature Class tool is meant to convert ArcView 3.x or ArcInfo Workstation Turn table. So the tool expects the input to be in that format. To convert turn data from vendors such as TeleAtlas, try this VBA sample. You will have to change the names in the "Settings" section in the code.I was able to successfully run this sample on my test data with ArcGIS 10 and It also works in 9.3/9.3.1 As VBA will not be supported with ArcGIS after 10.0 release, we will make this sample available as a python script tool in near future. Dear Deelesh Mandloi, Is this python script already available? If so, please post the link. Tkx

Dear Dan Patterson, I double checked all files paths, have projected both the raster and the feature class to WGS84_UTM24S and got the same error message. Finally, I realized what is causing the error: If the field type of the pour point data used to differentiate watersheds is long integer, and if there is no other short integer field in the attribute table, the watershed command simply will not run at all!:

Dear folks, it took me some time to figure out a very anoying error when generating watersheds in ArcGIS 10.5.1. If the field type of the pour point data is double, and if there is no other integer field in the attribute table, the watershed command will not run and the following error message is displayed: ERROR 999998: Unexpected Error. Failed to execute (Watershed). The same error occurs if you try to convert the point feature class to a raster. Cheers

Hi, Is it possible in some way to automaticly assign height values as attributes to contour lines, e.g., as those that have been vectorized in ArcScan? I used to use CalcContour but it hasn't been upgraded to ArcGIS 10 😞 Regards, Carlos

I would try the software Able2Extract. It does make a fairly good job converting PDF to dxf or dgn. It's the most consistent solution I ever found for this task. ArcScan is limited to binary (0,1) images thus your solution for converting PDF to JPG won't work 😞 Regards, Carlos Ribeiro Dept of Forest Engineering Fed. University of Vicosa Brazil
